I have a few domains that are getting ready to expire, I'm wondering if I should let them drop and them try to buy the domains or register them, or do you think I should just renew them right away, i'm not sure what policies apply to different registrars for dropped domains.

You already own them? Why would you let them drop if you want to keep them? If they're any good, you run the very real risk of someone else acquiring them out from under you.

What lothos said...

Plus depending on how far along they are expired - perhaps at this point, depending on the registrar, the recovery fee might be more than the handreg price, or the $60 backorder.

You'll need to assess just how much you can reasonably make off them, at this point...

Hello webengine and Welcome to NamePros!!!

It would be easier for us if you provided more info.
Where are they reg'd and when do they expire?

Peace,
Cy

What everyone else said. Why not just renew the domains since you want to keep them.

Most probably the renewal prices of the domains are more than reg fees.
