Expired Domains & Redemption Period

I found this article telling about the experience he went thru with a backorder for a domain name.

He says the process ends exactly 75 days after the listed expiration date.

Do we really need to look for expired domains that expired 75 days ago.

Which would be domains that expired in late January, 07
