advice Expired Domains Lose Their Age?

Can someone help me understand this please.
When I buy some expired domains from Freshdomain Drop, they still have their age when checked. But when I purchase them from ExpiredDomains, they are re-registered and so they get their clock put back to 0 years? Yet the backlinks and history on the WayBack machine are still valid?

Correct you still can say the domain has a history but it is a newly registered domain or it would still be the last persons.

Be careful in your wording though, it's not a "reset" when a name drops. If it has penalties or is blacklisted - that does not "reset". Be sure to keep an eye on issue status.
