Expired Domain or Typo?

When you are looking for domain with traffic. What is the best investment? Typo or Expired Domain?

Typos are best investment. Expired traffic costs much than a typo. For a typo, its hard to identify. I recently sold tecsmith.com to techsmith.com which i purchased for 3.99$. But i also bought rednoa.com which does not do well in traffic.
