I highly suggest not using paypal if you sell or ever try to sell on ebay. Paypal just stole back every penny I made on ebay and now I probally won't get it back because the theif using the chargeback is lieing through his teeth and has already scammed more people on ebay. Corupt paypal just takes away regardless of who files a complaint, they will do whatever it takes to not loose money even if this means stealing back money I currently need to pay bills :(

I'm defently getting a merchent account now, I will no longer deal with crooks no matter how much it saves me in fees. Think your safe with paypal? I thought so too, but I was wrong.

I just read that paypal looses 5 out of 5 chargeback cases D-:D-:D-:D-:D-:

All of my websites use paypal so this really sucks..

Did the person scam you on an actual item? If not, then PayPal/eBay won't help you on this.

Actual item, that I still have fedex tracking number and everything.

Its still in process, theres a small chance paypal will get my funds back, right now my paypal balance is negative, but accroding to paypalsucks.com forums paypal looses just about all chargeback cases.

What really sucks is I don't have that amount in my bank account if paypal doesn't give my money back and charges my debit card... :yikes:

Of course paypalsucks.com are going to tell you that, they will not go about telling people of when paypal do something right.

Be very weary of sites such as that. Near enough the only peop,e who frequent them are people who have had a bad experience with the company in question so they will not post anything good at all.

That is true....

I'm just going to wait it out. If paypal gets my money back great, if they charge my debit card, I'll just call my bank and have it disbuted on terms of fraudulent charges.

You have a good chance of winning a case, since you have solid proof you actually sent the item. Also regarding PayPalSucks.com...well, what do you expect from a site with a name like that?

I do agree though, I don't think PayPal handles chargebacks very well. It's still better than StormPay, E-gold, and Money Bookers by a lot. Hopefully this new Google payment processor will be better.

Update

Well, I contacted ebay and said this member that did the chargeback and has -3 feedback needs to be kicked, and they actually replied with something usefull.

"1. Contact law enforcement in the area where this buyer lives to let
them know of this activity. Be sure to be as specific as possible,
including names, addresses, phone numbers, or any other information that
you may have about this user. If a detective is assigned to your case,
please ask them to contact us so that we can assist them with their
investigation.

To find the name of a local law enforcement officer that can help you,
please refer to the following link:

http://www.usacops.com/

If you contact a law enforcement officer, please let the officer know
that eBay would be pleased to cooperate in an investigation and ask the
officer to contact us. He or she can contact us by using the "report
information to eBay" link on the following page:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/confidence/isgw-fraud-ebays-role.html

2. Contact the credit card company involved to let them know about this
incident.

3. If the item has already been delivered, you should follow up with the
police in their area.

4. Consider filing a complaint with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center
(IFCC). The IFCC is partnership between the Federal Bureau of
Investigation and the National White Collar Crime Center. The IFCC will
review and evaluate complaints and refer information to the appropriate
local, state, or federal agency. Every complaint that is referred by the
IFCC is sent to one or more law enforcement or regulatory agencies that
have jurisdiction over that matter. You can file a complaint with the
IFCC at:

http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp

5. If your package was shipped via USPS, you can file a report on their
Web site:

http://www.usps.gov

If you have any further PayPal concerns, I encourage you to contact
PayPal directly. To reach PayPal Customer Service, you can log into your
account and send a secure email through the following link:

https://www.paypal.com/wf/f=default

If you are unable to log in to your account, please contact PayPal
through the following link:

https://www.paypal.com/ewf/f=default

I understand your frustration regarding this matter and apologize for
any inconvenience it might have caused you.
"

I have to say I was not expecting any help so this email was pretty good coming from the same company that runs paypal.

well, heres a update, case closed, paypal admitted they didn't bother with the case, they rather keep the fines they charged me and let sellers be easly scammed. I provided solid proof, the con artist got the $$ and the item. Screw paypal and they will get what they having coming, hopefully a big fruad investagation within the next year or so.

update:

Case reopened! I dunno why, I think the bank/credit card company is fruadlent(sp?) and trying to scam more money. OR paypal decided its wrong that I was scammed and decided to actually fight the case. This has been going on since Jul. 27 and I'm about bored with it.

Ring them, tell them the situation. Contacting them via email or via form, is useless.

Aah ouch. Paypal being mean to innocent customers, ocne again. Still with over 78 million accoutns and only a handful of serious mistakes, they are doing quite well.

Contact them again to explain the situation and sit with fingers crossed.

I do not see why you shouldn't get your chargeback kept, if you have a tracking # that's what PP needs, and the only way he can get his money back is by sending the item to you.

yeah, I don't get it either... What it looks like is that I actually won the case but paypal kept the money they took, now the scammer is trying to fight it again. I don't get it..

Thanks filth, I'm gonna call tomarrow.
