I realize that .LTD is not a top level extension, but I think it makes a certain sense, is logical from a certain point of view. And maybe, in time, will catch on.

And there is still the opportunity to acquire good keywords. For instance, I recently registered:

exercise.ltd
rockandroll.ltd
selfies.ltd
cleveland.ltd
brunei.ltd
caymans.ltd
scuba.ltd

Am I just wasting my time (and money)?

Thank you for any feedback.

Lawyers often ask me about bar rules in regards to IM since they have a lot of restrictions in advertising, and based on my many years of doing legal marketing, yeah, I'm viewed as an 'expert' in IM rules for lawyers as it relates to bar rules in some states.

Believe what you will, the names are registered and are now going through development projects.

So it looks like we've come to a decision to keep most of the reg's today due to their value in manipulating SEM.

If you dealt with lawyers you would know it's common for them to ask questions about what we will be saying in ads and on pages to get the huge response ratios we get them.

Lawyers are well versed in the niche of law they specialize in and when a new client comes to us and we make extraordinary claims their first question is what do we say on ads and on the sites since their gut is to think we're violating bar rules as to what a lawyer can claim to generate such high response ratios.

Anyway, this thread has been hijacked by a few users that obviously don't like .LTD

We did a nice registration today and now they are mostly slated for development.

Why sell an asset for a minor amount 25K to 50k or even 100K to a professional when that same professional will be happy to pay us more than that in a year of SEM management on a geo sub on it?

But we might sell a few of the lesser terms.

I must say, whatever it is that you smoke or drink must be some really STRONG stuff. For your sake though, I hope you aren't going delusion due to some kind of mold or food poising in that old basement of yours.

That's right you're the guy/girl with

ClothingHaul.com seems you didn't renew it, so that's your idea of a valuable name?

And you're calling me delusional?

Seems you don't have your other great name nycbras.com setup correctly, the url goes to an error page in cpanel.

So anyone seeing you bash the .LTD needs to take that into consideration as to your level of domain name expertise...

When did I say they were valuable? I own a ton of domains, I picked those up because I think they are cool, not to develop...I just wanted to see what others thought of them. ClothingHaul was previously owned by Huge Domains. nycbra (the singular) is currently for sale for I think around $20k. brasnyc and branyc are fully developed. And both of those domains are worth more than your ridiculous .LTD domains.

Now who is smoking what as you said above?

Nothing names that do not resolve and one that might be not even registered anymore?

More valuable than some of the most expensive CPC terms in the world, even in .LTD they're worth a nice sum IMO.

There's a thread about them, so why don't you bash them there instead of this thread?

First, the names aren't that terrible, yours are worse. Second, your avatar says that you do domain name appraisals...but you actually started your own thread to get an appraisal!? If you are an 'appraisal expert'...why the heck do you need to start a thread asking for appraisals!?

I like to 'discuss' appraisals of domains

My user handle is a name I own iDomainAppraisal it's for sale to anyone that wants to do their own 'appraisals'.

Appraisals are 'opinions' and sure enough some of the .ltd's we've discussed here and have listed in both appraisal area and in make offer all came out on SEDO with nice recommended values, some mid 5 figures.

So SEDO agreed with me, the names I mentioned in .LTD are high value keywords

They're all now on sedo so maybe a few sell, be nice to see the .LTD start to record some 4 and 5 x sales

Yeah. Seeing as how there is already nearly 2,000 .LTD domains on sedo, it would be interesting to see at least a few of them actually sell...seeing as how pretty much none have so far.

well they are now on sedo and also on the board to be developed
so most will not be on sedo long
but it was a nice sign to see SEDO recommend high values to many of them
some minor 1K and 500 but lots of 10k, 25k and even a 50K suggested value
I think physician.ltd got the 50K suggest value with condos.ltd getting around 30K

So sedo likes them

lol You remind me of the new users sooo excited to see the estibot value...until they realized it means nothing.

Hardly, I ignore estibot but the SEDO suggested price widget is a nice evaluation

List your nycbras and see how sedo responds

If it had a laugh effect it would

LOL A nice evaluation if your head is in the clouds maybe. Hmmm, 2,000 .LTD domains listed, 0 sold...hmmm, doesn't that tell you something. lol

Yep SLEEPER TLD

If you understand how se's rank tld's in their algorithms you would realize .ltd is a natural tld for companies
We'll be testing some tomorrow on PPC tests to see the QS scores

That will determine if we keep and develop

Just for SEM these terms are valuable as long as the QS does what it should

LOL Eventually you'll realize that condos aren't a company and no one is going to want .LTD. You live in a cloud...hence why everyone else on here agreed.

large condo owner/investors are usually an LTD

however, the word is a keyword for realtors that sell/lease condos, so our realtor clients buy the term condos all day long and this is just another EMD we can use for PPC manipulation

so homesforsale.ltd and condos.ltd are perfect EMD's for IM and SEM

one day you'll 'get it'

LOL It's like talking to a child. Condos aren't LTD's...maybe the company that owns them is...but then they use the company name.
Real estate agents aren't going to want .LTD either because it makes no sense.
You seriously think everyone else on here is wrong and you are right? No one else on here knows what they are talking about?

I used to drive a Ford Ltd
Nice car, a lot nicer than this extension.
Its just another stupid extension that will ultimately fail.
There wont be enough users to sustain.ltd

I wouldn't mind owning the rights to it

exercise.ltd

The .ltd primary market appears to be China. The aftermarket either doesn’t exist or is controlled under WITSEC. In terms of American mindshare, Ford USA owns it and they threw in the towel in 1986.

wholesale: $x
retail: $xx
(the domain, not the car)

An ‘exercise ltd’ unicorn would probably hand reg exerciseltd.com for $9. Good luck!

It's basically the same thing, an auto appraisal. Until names are sold it means nothing.
If you are talking about SEO, the extension doesn't matter so much really.
