.tv example.TV and exampleTV.COM

Hi,

I'm about to get my very first .tv (waiting for the moniker discount) and was just wondering, if you guys get

example.TV

and if

exampleTV.com

is available, no doubt anyone here will get it.

Which name will you start actual development on? I'm thinking most of you guys will say example.TV but I'm asking, what will users be likely to remember better? ".com is king"?

Got me thinking about this cos I know of my example;

This website started on

http://www.amie.st

but as it got popular it moved everything over to

http://www.amiestreet.com

Hope you guys understand what I'm saying cause I'm kinda confused myself. :lol:

We understand your point, don't worry.

If you have both names, then I would use the .tv and redirect the .com.

I think the .tv will ultimately (not now, but ultimately) easier to remember and describe and since you have the tv.com then anyone that is confused will get redirected anyway.

If I understand your question correctly your asking opinions between keywordTV.com and keyword.tv? If that is your question then here is my answer:

There is a huge debate between the two choices and so called armies are being lined up on both sides of the fence. While on the one hand kewordTV.com holds the strength of being a .COM domain the other side has the power of TV being the most recognizable acronym in the world coupled with the fact that a straight keyword makes SEO much easier. Hope that helps. Which is better is a personal choice and it depends highly on what you are trying to accomplish.
