Everything you need to know about buying Spanish Names

Here's a short spill about buying Spanish names ... it's what I discovered by using Google Translation tool and Bablefish ... which both work equally well. I had a huge list of names in spanish and portuguese but pared it down to a single name.

1. The main thing to remember is that in spanish sentence structure, the adjective comes after the noun, as I discovered. Instead of saying free puppies they will say puppies free or actually ... perritos libres. They would say examen en línea instead online survey ... with en linea meaning on line ... and yes examenenlinea.com is available (both in singular and plural forms) but examens.com is not

2. The second thing you want to remember is that translation tools are limited.
Goog translates free puppies as perritos libres but free is translated as libres, libre and gratis. All 3 are correct in that they mean free, but if you are talking about free music, free games or free puppies ... you would use gratis.

3. And then remember how Mexico City in spanish is Ciudad de México ...
sometimes they will throw in "of" and "the" where you wouldn't expect it. Example: music lyrics = líricas de la música

You will be surprised at the good names left in spanish.

Do not use online translators to reg spanish domains.

example: líricas de la música --> spanish ppl don't use that kind of language, the correct spell should be : Líricas musicales (poor use) or the best one: "Letras de canciones".

Of course you can translate Cars for coches, autos or carros but trying to translate phrases with online tools won't be so smart.

Also remember that each spanish market has its genuine words (carros for south america, coches for spain,...)

I went through a period [not with Spanish domains though] where I was registering domains that I though were for premium keywords. I was not. Always verify with a real person before registering a name. Thanks for the notice!

Yes, Spanish Names is real tricky, it is not as simple as thowing two words together as in English and don't forget the masculine femine changes depending on what words you are using.

I think the 'e' and the 'i' do have value on latin names as Information is Informacion and Electronic is Electronico and even if the average latin American were not familiar with the 'e' and 'i' prefix 50% of my juegos and musica domains traffic comes from Latins in the US who are sure to be familiar with the prefixes.
