What your favourite country ?

Who you think will win this year Euro 2008 ?

Portugal has a great team, with only one weaker point: Ricardo. I think he is not a top notch goalkeeper, but he can have some extraordinary games like he played in 2004.

I think Portugal has a big chance for winning (at last) a major competition.

I agree with you. I personally prefer another keeper called Quim, who was injured last week while already in Switzerland and had to be substituted by another. Scolari who is very stuborn, prefers Ricardo. Since we cannot clone Petr Cech, we''ll just have to do with him for now. Actually he played a good and safe game today.

I would like to see more of Quaresma who can score some spectacular goals with the outside of his foot. Portugal has some very good players on the bench!

At this point I think we are good enough to go reach the final 4 along with Spain. Holland and Germany, but as we say in Portugal "The ball is round and the game has 90 minutes" There are still a lot of games to play and I'm sure we will have some surprises to come!

I like the way Nani plays at MU. I was surprised he and Quaresma were not in the starting team, but if you remember everybody criticized him before he won the World Cup with Brazil.

As for the players I really like Cadu (he plays in Romania - the captain of CFR Cluj - Romanian champions). He plays in the same position as my uncle did about 40 years ago at CFR. Though back then CFR was in the 2nd league. Also Semedo is quite good, but looking at the players in the Portugal squad, it is tough to get there.

Anyway, overall another nice game made by Portugal.

When Scolari won that world cup he left out some great players, especially Romario. Even the President of Brazil asked him to put Romario in, which as you know he refused. Thats the way he is, very stuborn, but very good in making the players believe in themselves and in the team. He is also very loyal to his players.

Final result: Turkey 2-1 Switzerland

That puts Portugal into the quarter-finals and the Swiss can start their holidays, leaving the Turks and the Czechs to fight for a place in the last 8.

Wow, really breaking news. I am surprised it was announced during the Euro. not sure if this is good for the team. But the Portuguese players are professional and I think they won't be affected by this.

Yesterday matches was an interesting wan. Portugal won 3-1 that helps is securing a place in the next round .WIll Germany win today ?

The Croatians didn't really convince me in their first game. I'd say Poland will give it a good run.

Man, some BAD conditions in the Turkey/Switzerland game. Exciting match though, and even though the last goal was a deflection, Turkey's counter attack made that chance.

And sadly I know how the Swiss fans feel (kind of) as Canada was brutal in the group stage of the U20 World Cup in Canada last summer .

Canada? Nice, I know Lars Hirschfeld from Canada, he plays (well, he is more a substitute) at CFR Cluj, good goalkeeper. I live near Cluj, where he plays.

Regarding today's matches I will bet for Germany and Poland, but on separate bets. I am not so sure about Poland. I like the way they play, but Austrians can be well motivated.

And Croatia plays some really nice games against big teams (just look at England). Interesting games ahead.
