The .EU TLD is coming to the market and I have orady placed an order for some great domains. Do you think it would be another tld or would it become the most wanted tld in the future ?

Well, I was optimizing my client site when I saw a google adsense advertisment for namescout. You create a free account if you don't have one. Order as many as you want and you will pay only if they get these domains for you. For example I made an order for domain.eu

The problem is it cost 25/year and you have to pay at least for 2 years. Thats euro not dollar.

Perosnally, I think these reservations are partially scam. No registrar has been accredited yet. You are basically only placed on a waiting list within your chosen registrar.

I would not be surprised if some of the registrars go for auction type bidding for names once they get them.

Well, I think of it this way. If its a scam then you will get nothing but remember that you paid nothing. If its ture, then you have the chance to register the most wanted domains in the .eu business. So basicly you have nothing to lose and alot to win. :tu:

It´s hard to tell if a new TLD will be popular or not, but I think that .eu will be popular since it´s related to a huge population and most people in Europe have access to the Internet.

The internet is so cluttered with all of these domains and there ext's. It is like phone numbers. Soon I am sure you will have to dial 10 digits in your area ust to dial a phone number. Population is increasing! .EU I am sure will be popular over in Europe, so maybe buying them will be a smart thing to do.

.eu , waste of money/????., Its a huge market with most of the people having high purchasing power, unlike .cn, where the population is high, but the purchasing power of people is low.

I will buy my target domains (of 10 or more) even if they charge 100 Euros per year as registration fee.

.cn (China) has a growing population not from within but from outside.

Personally, I prefer .uk than .eu. It just looks so weird and that domain.eu is propably reserved by some big registrar before anyone has the chance to lay their hands on it.
