i have seen it.
When i went to belgium i looked in a travel magazine on the plane and looked at travel domain names. Few of them were .eu even shop names etcetera.
I found maybe about 3 .eu names and that was 5 months ago.
I do believe they will get more used rather then parked.
Dont forget .eu will maybe be like the .net of the .com .... well allmost at least as it will be one behind .net.
And the .eu is not doing as great as the .us.
This name has got a very big potential, if more countries keep on joining the europeanunion.
Furthermore, I sold 20 virgin related .eu domain names to virgin enterprises limited ...
few of those were: virginblackjack.mobi, virginvodka.mobi etc.
These are still undevelopped but they have taken at least 30 .eu names (including the 20 i sold them). So wether they are just playing safe or believe in .eu is a different matter ....
