Hair Care Appliances.com

Okay, I know the valuation is extremely extremely inflated, and based mostly on the monthly search popularity (over 60,000 per month, I did an accurate check through google keyword tool), and PPC ads (255)but would like to hear your comments/valuations please. Hair care appliances are a broad and general group, like 'kitchen appliances' or 'home appliances'. They involve all power accessories for hair, like blow dryers, curling irons, hair straighteners, flat irons, etc.
Here's Estibot info:

At best a few hundred once it is develop.

Worth maybe $50 to the right end user. No resell value.

Yeah, worth reg fee if not developed. I don't think many people associate the word "Appliances" with hair care. Good key words, but not together like that.

Damn, there's a surprising number of searches for "hair care appliances" - Google says 74,000 for the exact match!

Wasn't sure it'd be worth much but after looking at the number of phrase match results in Google compared to the exact match search, I say you've found a winner.

EDIT: Then again, looking at the results, many of them use "haircare" instead of "hair care" and "haircare appliances" doesn't have nearly as much exact match traffic while having more phrase match results. I think Google is lying to us on this one. :o

I never heard the word appliances with those words so reg fee.

I would love to be proven wrong. If Google isn't lying about the search traffic, you've definitely got a gem. Keep us informed!

I think it's one of those strange mix-ups; the lay-person wouldn't type in this term often and if they do occasionally I think most people use the 2 word version 'haircare appliances'; but the hair salons around the world - and there are tons of them - are the ones who would want to buy hair care appliances for their stores, and they would use the in-the-know term with hair care as two separate words, so 'hair care appliances'.

Yeah, funny about that estimate; most are in some realistic range, but this name spiked strangely. Same thing happened with another name a few months ago (I haven't regged it yet), it's maybe a low xxx value name but keeps getting a $180,000 valuation.

The name in this thread I'd personally give a mid - high xxx valuation to from an end user... but wanted to hear from others here :)
Thanks all

Odd. I am getting different numbers.

hair care appliances 201,000
haircare appliances 210

That seems fishy to me.

Developed sites are worth anywhere between 1 cent and $1 Billion, and it is difficult to estimate the value of a developed site before it has actually been developed.

You must be looking at broad/phrase match. Use the "Match Type" drop down at the top right to select exact match.

Yeah, my bad.

But it's still odd.

hair care appliances = 60,500
haircare appliances = 110

But when we look at the regular Google search, which is a great gauge of use in society...

"hair care appliances" = 39,700
"haircare appliances" = 277,000

It is flipped.

Very strange indeed. Trends shows next to no traffic for both keywords. I'm anxious to see results.

I it is really getting those sort of searches then it worth $xxx. Is it not getting any type in traffic at all?

Me too; I'll update this thread in a few weeks to let you know if the minisite gets any unusually decent views. The stats are certainly all over the place for this one and hard to call accurately. Very strange one.
However, it is the proper term that covers blow dryers, hair dryers, curling irons, all those, so I'll definitely try get some value out of it :)

Not worth more than $40 Tops.

Estibot is all over the place.

Does an appraisal really mean anything? Hell No..
A Domain Name and its value come down to a few simple things,
obviously Traffic, Traffic is King, and the domain name itself.

I am a firm believer in a domain name is worth whatever you
want it to be worth. However, if you feel a domain is worth
$10,000, it doesnt always mean you will get $10,000.

Online Appraisals Mean Nothing.. Estibot is Only good For
Providing useless information to potential buyers.

Estibot told me DOOM(.)com was worth $240,000, then why
did the Video Game Company Only pay Me $40,000 for it? lol

Self Appraisal Is The Best. Traffic & What You Think, Bottom Line!

But in your case for this domain, HairCarProducts Would obviously be a
very nice domain, the best possible domain for this industry / category
of domain. Because, really what is a HairCareAppliance, who searches
that? When was the last time your girl / wife said, "Hunny, I'll be right
back I need to go to walgreens and buy some hair care appliance" :/
