NOTE: Estibot have replied that there will be 5 free per day so this has been posted.

Estibot have now only the new version, which has some new features and a significantly refreshed interface. Apparently there are 5 free per day. If it takes you to a login page, even though you have not done as many as 5, or anyone else from your IP address, try using a different browser, or totally removing all cookies from your existing one and clear cache. By going to Firefox I was able to get it to work, although Chrome with my saved data will not. Previously Estibot allowed one free evaluation a day, or 5 free on the beta of the new recently.

For small domain name investors the pricing of the plans seem expensive to me. The lowest cost one is the so-called Novice plan that allows you to do up to 150 evaluations per day, and costs $29.95 USD per month. The Advanced plan, that allows up to 5000 per day, is $99.95 per month. There are a couple of other plans as well. including the Expert plan at $149.95 per month that allows you to directly email 1000 leads per day from within Estibot using their lead generator tool (surely that is contrary to some national and international anti-spam legislation, it seems to me?).

You only get API access with the two most expensive plans. The Novice plan does not get you the appraised or premium drop list, a useful feature in my opinion.

I think, in an environment where GoDaddy are offering GoValue free, and that other features of Estibot (e.g. advertiser info, search info. whois, drop lists, word parsing and suggestions, etc. ) are either free or at low cost elsewhere, Estibot will find it difficult to get subscribers at these rates.

It will be interesting to see how Estibot makes out, but I find the pricing too high for what is uniquely offered. I hope that GoValue will stay free, and that it will continue to improve in quality. I also hope that at some point a genuinely sophisticated AI based tool that uses deep learning to get better and better will emerge.

You can see about the Estibot features and plan options at this link:

ps Disclosure: I have no affiliation with either service mentioned here.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
that does seem like HIGH pricing...

where are similar services you like - offered free - post or pm me (smile)

One year ago I tried the $50 account. It was good for lead generation, but nothing else spectacular.

If Estibot decided to stop its one domain a day free appraisal system, then it will loose its popularity. 95% of its users are small time hobbyists domainers, who cannot afford to pay $ 29.95 a month. Sometimes big names make blunders, Estibot is one.

I will just put a few of the more obvious here, but will work on a longer post (but not today).

For automated domain name appraisal, I think GoValue is the overwhelming free choice:
https://www.godaddy.com/domain-value-appraisal
I have tried both it and Estibot side by side for now about a thousand domain names, in various extensions, and overall feel it is similar in quality. GoValue also includes some of the other features, including comparable domain sales.

I am not at all impressed with FreeValuator but you can get two free per day:
https://www.freevaluator.com/

Of course the big source for previous domain name sales is
https://namebio.com/
It does not cover less than $100 sales, so complementing with
http://dnpric.es/
http://sold.domains/
(the latter just for ngTLDs and only in bets)

There are many excellent sites for drop (and I am sure that NPs members more expert than I can add their favourites). One option is
http://www.freshdrop.com/

A source with a wealth of information other than just the domain name is:
https://www.expireddomains.net

Also, some country codes periodically distribute links to the about to drop domain names. In Canada CIRA do that for .ca for example. If you follow them on Twitter they even remind you when a new list is up.
http://tbr.cira.ca/

Also, some people blog, or comment on here, with their choices for drops. e.g. one of many
http://www.expiredpicks.com/

The best source for information on Google analytics is to go to Google itself. You may need to pretend you are going to advertise, but they have a wealth of information - some of the process described here:
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2470105?co=ADWORDS.IsAWNCustomer=false&hl=en

There are dozens of sites for suggesting domain name alternatives, in addition to those in the registrars themselves. I personally like (although its intended more for business name genertaion)
https://www.shopify.ca/tools/domain-name-generator

I hope that even though most of these are obvious to NPs members, most people found something new in this.

Have a good day!

Bob

It would be nice if you at least pinged me or anyone at EstiBot to see if what you're posting is in fact what we're doing.

We're still doing the FREE daily appraisals, in fact, we've RAISED it in this release. It went from 1/day on the old EstiBot to 5/day now.

If you are seeing a registration page after doing an appraisal it means you or someone on your IP maxed out the 5 free / day.

Questions regarding the new service can be sent to [email protected].

Hi @Luc thanks for responding - I actually tried to find someone identified with Estibot, you should add that if you are associated in your profile.

However, I have not used either the old or the beta Estibot in about 36 hr (so not within 24 hr, not within calendar day no matter the time zone used) but when I tried to appraise a single domain name it took me instantly to the login pagewith no options other than to register.

Are other NPs members able to use it?

It is good news if it is indeed going to be 5 free as it was in the beta the last few months.

fyi I am accessing it from Canada, using MacOS and Chrome, with no VPN, etc. I have used the free version, old and beta, successfully many times in the past.

As of this morning, it appears that the old Estibot and the beta version of the new Estibot are both gone, and the only option is the new Estibot. While the interface looks modern and nice, and the feature list is expanded somewhat, on the downside it appears that there is no choice other than to sign up and pay for a plan. Previously Estibot allowed one free evaluation a day, or 5 free on the beta of the new recently.

I have no affiliation with either service mentioned here.

Someone who asserts association with Estibot says there will be 5 free per day. It does not work for me. Has anyone else been able to access it today? (it did allow free for me yesterday)

Bob,

Are you logged in with a legacy account or a guest? If logged in, can you PM me your email so I can lookup the account.

Thanks!
Luc

I would also kindly request that you edit your subject and update the original message, since we are DEFINITELY not taking away free appraisals.

@Admin Can you change the title of the post (original) as I can not do so (or maybe don't know how to :))

I did add a change prior to your message to the content below that and will make more changes.

I have further changed the article (again), and asked that admins change the title to something like New Estibot Up. Thank you for the clarification, @Luc.

This would be a good opportunity for you to post about the revised features and the plan options to the community.

Bob,

Can you confirm if you are logged in with a legacy account or using it as guest?

Thanks,
Luc

Guest. I have used both the beta (recently) and original (1 per day) as guest without problem on exactly the same computer, OS and browser many days in past. Today it immediately took me to login/register as the only option, and still does that from Chrome. As I am in the middle of many things, I have not yet restarted. I did find that using Firefox from the same computer, that I had never used to access Estibot in the past, allows me to do a free one (and probably more I just tried one yet today).

This is (only slightly) off topic, but is there somewhere on NPs that show which accounts can respond "officially" for different products? e.g. I know who does this for GoDaddy, Undeveloped, ToughDomains, Efty and a few others, but a single post with them all in one place would be helpful for those seeking answers, or for those wanting to clarify before posting. I do understand that by TOS only individuals can be members of NPs, but a key individual in an organization/company is useful information to know.

Now THAT is helpful! Thank you so much!!!!
(although Estibot don't seem listed on it?)
Hi Bob,

We rarely go on forums. (the biggest issue is time) Today was an exception because we noticed your post on Twitter. The absolutely best way to reach us is through the support ticket system on any of our sites.

Have others without memberships tried a free Efty appraisal TODAY?

I cleared for the past 24 hr my cookies, cache, browsing history from Chrome on a Mac, and shut it down, and logged into Estibot again, but it gives me the same message of taking me to login/register without option of free appraisal.

I am able to do free from Firefox on Mac on same computer. Others have success?

Although in something like this, the ticket system does not really work (even if willing to wait a few days) as I was given no indication that I had reached a limit, simply taken to a page that had to create an account, so assumed that was the new normal. I think it would be helpful, like in the old Estibot or the beta Estibot, to give a warning that number exceeded to prevent this confusion.

(ps I did delete the Tweet, although once the system is resolved will post a new one)

Bob,

Can you give it another shot. I force cleared all session cookies for all guests. It's possible that your Chrome is doing some type of optimization or caching. Let me know if it works.

Same thing for me to! Won't allow even one FREE appraisal.

EDIT: Works now! Thanks!!

I think a $9.99 monthly plan would be utilized by more casual users, in my opinion.
