Hi,

I am currently negotiating the purchase of a domain directly with the current owner. We both live in different countries, so in case the negotiation succeeds we will need to use some escrow service. I am therefore wondering if anybody here has some good recommendations?

I have seen that sedo offers escrow services with a 3% fee for domains that were negotiated outside of the sedo system. However, I am unsure that I want to use sedo as I don't want the seller to back off and try to post it there, where it might end up in an auction. The seller does not seem to know much about domain selling. He has an excellent domain. The domain was registered in 1996 but never properly developed.

I am looking forward to getting your recommendations.

I used escrow.com twice and I was very happy with their price and service.

For each transaction the buyer/seller was in Europe. Their email and phone

support was excellent throughout. I believe they have the best prices.

:)
