Alternatives to escrow services?

Do anybody have some alternative method to the escrow services, to ensure (reasonably)both the buyer and the seller in a domain transaction?

I think an escrow service is unusable for any business up 100 us $ ,to do not mention very cheap sales

I had a look on sedo for istance, they ask 50 minimum( and oddly in whatever currency...I mean if you choose US$ currency is 50 but is still 50 if your currency is £ that's make some 93 us$..almost double fee for UK people...)
and it depend also on the domain estension thei raise up 150...

I mention SEDO just because I just read about their TOS but others are about the same or even more expainsive ...

I see no solutions....anybody has some suggestion?

I very rarely have a domain sale below $300 request escrow. I think I've had two that their company policy required. Also, anything under $1000 I let the buyer pay the escrow fee ($25 as escrow.com for small sales). In all cases it's worth the $25 to them to have the security. Even if the sale is only $50. With afternic or sedo, you really don't have a choice since the seller pays. You just have to build it into the sale price.

Well to know, I tought escrow.com was even more expansive, $25 is much more affordable, I would use it even under 100$ sales to have peace of the mind.

moniker.com is another option, but yet again, on smaller sales you'd be paying a huge % for the service.

I dont know about you guys but I wouldn't trust another company other then escrow.com

I would use it even under 100$ sales to have peace of the mind.

There's a minimum of a $25 fee no matter what the amount is. If the amount is $30 then you would still have to pay the $25 fee. For smaller amounts it'd be cheaper to use PayPal or one of the other companies.
