Guys, what do you think about epix.co? PR3 and 49k monthly exact match searches, first registered in 2010, just dropped.

I like the name itself, but dislike the fact that Epix is a major cable movie distributor (like a third tier HBO, Showtime). I don't think many online companies would want to brand themselves with that name. Just too much confusion.

Maybe an international company (check to see what cctld's epix is registered in to find some leads).

Also, maybe a brick and morter company with that name might be interested if you can find one.

But i love 4 letter .co brands. I just don't like that this particular one has a big player using that name.

Thanks for your thoughts. I was thinking about an application related to photo industry. I dont think that somebody who has a plan for developing an application should dislike this because of that. Usually they care mostly about the applications market than for something from outside.

True! But there are already epix apps (for the movie network) on android, ios, roku, etc.

Take a browse through all of the trademarks, too. That will also narrow the scope of usable applications.

You are right. But they are so many companies and websites named epix on cctld that lately has become something general....there are some segments related to photo and internet where there is an active TM but still a lot of choices.
