The problem here is that the current way of how promos are being directed for .IO depends on how many domains under management each registrar has. We're working hard to be able to alter that rule to something more flexible and be able to provide with the price that you need.
I'm really thankful that you're insisting on moving your names to us, and that's why you're looking for that discount.
I've actually emailed the registry one more time last night, and waiting for some response today.

Hi there,
For transferring in bulk, that discount means A LOT.
We were actually incentivized to do it because we had multiple requests for a few hundred domain names each.
Those transfer-in promos means direct lose to us, because the registry has no incentive in running transfers between registrars. During this hour, if we get 4k-6k domain names in transfers, that means we've directly lost $2,000 to $3,000.
BUT, it's the bigger picture that we look after, here in NamePros. We think this community deserves these discounts, and all of them are being used to do more business. Smarter business. And, we absolutely believe in paying it forward.

just to be clear people here who talked about io including me, did not mean a promo temp price. but to reduce your regular price. from something that is now unusable because other registrars offer regular prices (not promos) of almost half or so of yours.

perhaps if your approach is that u are waiting to have enough io names on your site to get that promo, which i think is what u said.. then the wait may be long indeed.. or infiite.
but again, no one here was really talking about promos.
dynadot and some others have regular io prices in the 25-30 range.
