Sigh .. was trying to do a sizable batch of handregs after completing another 125 more transfers .. didn't get through my master list to filter out the best ones, so was going to submit what I had .. but it was already done by 3:00 .. I had a few issues as I guess everyone was submitting last second .. so I unfortunately missed it by literally a few seconds (thought I'd still be safe until 3:00:59) .. lol .. teaches me not to procrastinate next time! Maybe for the best .. I have too many domains that I have time to manage them for! lol

I tried fast one past them, had page at promo price, clicked “checkout” and paid 7 minutes after at 3:07 so I was charged normal $42-, instead of $32.

I don't care. The last of my LLLLs have transferred from registrar been wanting to leave for a long time. Thanks for expediting the process, with this insanely generous promo, and excellent service!

Got some of my domains listed in epik market place first time. the landing page look cool and simple. one observation I selected multiple domains to list and the listing form have one textbox for price which means you can't set different price each domain or you have to choose to list each domain one by one. Not a handy for domainer who list bunch of domains daily.

You can list a different price for each name from the marketplace tab in your dashboard

Last five days been a tight packed and unexpected schedule changes for me...

And I postponed it too..

Missed full chance to move and register many names..

Overall it is a great promo from Epik and amazing promotion by @Rob Monster

We saw how many times he quoted this promo and suggested it as a potential plan to get sales.

For me it was already back to $8.49 by 3:00:00 .. just before 3:00 I had a few names in the cart, it just took me a little too long to get the old ones out and the news ones in .. just a few seconds .. lol .. I'd like to blame it on Epik .. but I also have way too many browser tabs/windows open .. so the few seconds difference could have very easily (/probably) been on my end.

My biggest issue wasn't the final checkout .. in trying to put the domains into my usual process (mostly Excel) .. I checked a bunch of names to see if they were available .. then copy/pasted the lists into Excel .. but they all had a space at the start of each cell .. usually just a simple trim or find/replace, but no matter what I did I couldn't trim or replace the spaces. Only realising now that Epik's formatting uses a "Non-Breaking Space" as opposed to a regular space .. and (as I only now figured out after a ton of frustration .. slightly after 3am Eastern) Excel treats non-breaking and breakable spaces as completely different characters (effectively Char 160 and Char 15 respectively)! I lost about 20 minutes trying to figure that out and then gave up when I realised I'd run out of time. Only really figured out what the problem was shortly after.

What's worse is that afterwards I also noticed that at the bottom of Epik's bulk handreg search, there's the option to export as text ... if only I had seen that at 2am instead of 3:30am .. lol

On the positive side, I've figured it all out and now have 100 great handregs ready to go the next time there's a promotion .. they're way more than good enough to grab at regular prices, but it just hurts paying an extra $300 because of my arch nemesis Excel. I swear Excel is such an amazing tool .. that has helped me unimaginably .. while at the same time being one of the biggest sources of frustration ever!

On that note .. anybody got a handreg .com coupon code? lol

I am both happy and sad to see it come to an end (so many names and so little extra cash)!

Like everyone else, life intervened and caused a slippage of time and even though I worked hard to spread the word from the beginning and had large regging plans, I too had a bunch of names left over on my "got to reg these before Oct 1st" list.

Got many moved over from other registrars that I've been letting sit for a while and that is a big relief.

It is a good thing for us all that Rob is so motivated in moving Epik forward with new hires and acquisitions that will help the large and small domain investor alike. The new SSL pages are looking good, especially since we can now remove some items if we choose to.

So I would like to thank Rob for giving us a chance to save some money...in my case I was motivated to share some of the savings with a charitable group targeting those that are destitute for one reason or another. It is not a lot, but I found myself thinking 'with the money I saved I should use that at ------ restaurant or to buy a new monitor...neither of which is needed.

For now, I will save my 'want' list of names for a while in hopes Rob will shake things up again in a month or three...maybe he will do something to help domainers celebrate making it to 2020!!!

As for .COM backorders, they will remain at just $8.49 for all of October. It is first come first serve, so forget about hand-registering your dropcatches. I'm really disappointed in myself that I missed checking out my cart by a few seconds yesterday (stupid Excel .. stupid Char 160 .. stupid me for waiting until last second .. lol) .. I've already done all my transfers for the next few months .. but I've still got 100 handregs waiting to go .. was kinda excited about them as I usually don't do handregs, and 100 handregs is more than I've done in my entire almost 3 years domaining .. got some surprisingly good ones lined up .. c'mon whalies, although $7.49 is an excellent price, I feel stupid paying $200 more because of my love/hate relationship with Excel .. I need someone to get that number down a bit more and I'm biting!
