Hello Folks

I've just got this mail from enom:
Dear my name & surname

We are writing to inform you that Network Solutions has acquired the domain name registrar(s) for the following domain names:

  • domain1
  • domain2
The migration will occur on July 11, 2016 at which time you will manage your services through Network Solutions. Once your account has been migrated you will receive an email from Network Solutions with more information on how to log in to your new account. If you have questions or concerns, you may contact eNom support at (425) 274-4500.

Thank you for your support of Enom.

I've not sold those domains and neither started any transfer.
I'm going to contact them but i know they can't reply very fast..
any other have seen this or is possible a transfer not authorized?

I've just checked and those names are still with transfer lock ON.

thanks for the time

Yes I got the same email. I think it's only related to registars that were acquired by NetworkSolutions. But it's going to transfer quite a few of my domains. I hate transferrng to NetworkSolutions so I'm going to transfer all my domains before that.

Networksolutions requires 3 days before they send u transfer codes..etc. Pain in the ass.

thanks a lot for this information. i was having fear about a domain transfer not authorized...
as this is the second time i find a transfer not authorized about my domain names.

Yes, i don't like that too about Net Sol.
in fact at the moment i transfer all my names at least 14 days before they expire.

btw i also have opened a ticket with them so i will update this case.

I was struggling why they do not inform people about those changes? :/

finally i got a reply from them:

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Technical Support regarding this transfer email.
The domain names in question were registered with a registrar credential that is now under Network Solutions control.
As the credential in question is no longer under our control, we want to make sure you will still be able to manage your domain names.
You should receive an email from Network Solutions when an account has been created on your behalf and your domain names are manageable on their platform.
I hope this has helped to clarify the matter.
Kind regards,

well, at least we got a positive reply :)

This kind of stuff happens once in a while. I don't want to speculate here the motivation behind this but there could be one of many.

So it's not eNom itself, it's registrars which use their platform. I'd personally transfer the 2 domains elsewhere. Possibly to another eNom account. Before NetSol gets their hands on them. Or is that already too late? I'm sure your buyers would be appreciative of your initiative.

Have you received your email from Network Solutions as yet?
I had one domain migrate and have not yet heard from NS.

same here.
i got those 2 domains moving. they said moving start 11th and not yet got any other mail.
What is sure that those my domains now are not anymore in my enom account and neither in Net Sol one.
if in 2 days i got no news i'm going to call Net Sol as 7 days are enough for a transfer.

When stuff like this happens just create a second enom account. Push the domain that netsol wants to transfer to your other enom account and netsol won't be able to transfer it out anymore.

i was pretty happy for the past support with enom and net sol that i preferred to trust them.
They could not lose my domains...
thanks for the suggestion :)

@pablohc86 - NetSol has lost plenty of domains to thieves in the past. I think your trust in them is misguided.

@pablohc86 - I've no faith in NetSol and their crappy website and service. I always transfer my dropped domain auction wins out as soon as the 60 day registration lock is removed. I'm actually surprised you like them.

Sorry. I mistook your words of enthusiasm, as liking them. They still have the same crappy website, policies, and service they've always had. Things won't be changing with them. They are owned by Web.com. High pricing and you only get the $10 offer if you try to transfer the domain away. $10 is still very high for a .com renewal without their expensive privacy. They are the oldest registrar, but that still doesn't inspire your misguided confidence in them. There are so many better, cheaper, safer registrars than NetSol.

I have nothing personal against NetSol. I'm just telling you how it is.

Whoever heard of waiting 3 days for them to email you the Auth Code. Only at NetSol.

Support is also quite bad. Usually 24hrs for the canned 1st response. They never quote your question with all their replies. You can only get any clear picture about you support request by viewing your support ticket online. They close tickets prematurely, and you have to raise another ticket. No support at weekends. So a ticket raised on Thursday or Friday is unlikely to be responded to until Monday. Same with the Auth Codes. I could go on....

Finally the names has been moved and all was good but not without pain.

Around the 19th as no mail was arrived from me from Net Sol, I mailed enom and they told me the mail had already been sent to me. I checked again and found no mail in spam folder, bin and any other place.
So i had to contact Net sol and ask for those credentials as those name had been transferred in a new account with my same contacts.
For transfer those names from one net sol account to another one I had to call them via phone as the instruction on their site are not correct and via mail they do not do this kind of task.

They make me pretty angry because i had to call them 3 times before to find the person able to follow me with the transfer (they do not do push at least is what the support girl told me).

Not so much satisfied about net sol but in the end all is good.

@pablohc86 - All NetSol internal transfers are done by "pulling" the domain into your account.
