What a waste of a great name;

Since my last thread http://www.namepros.com/domain-registrar-reviews/617509-ename-com.html they have not responded to emails, most support tickets have been unanswered for 4/5 months.

An amount of money I have there cannot be released and has been frozen. I have a number of names that will come up for renewal in a few months but unfortunately I can no longer trust these people with money and it appears impossible to get transfer codes as it would now require a business license if transferring. So likely I will lose the names.

All very sad.

DO NOT USE THEM

I have the same problem. Is anybody here from China can help us to get auth code to transfer domain out of ename.com? Any help would be appreciated.

4.CN is the global and professional marketplace for buying and selling domain names, and we are the leading domain escrow service provider in China, maybe we can help you to obtain the auth code.

For more informations, please feel free to contact our domain broker Sharon, her msn/email: [email protected]

Regards,
Justin

:hi: I am sharon from 4.cn,the leading domain escrow service provider in China. I might help. If you trust us, you can push domain names to our ename account. Then we help you obtain the auth-codes. Finally, you can transfer the domains to your preferred registrars.

Hi, sorry to jump in to your thread wot, but I have been unable to accept a batch of domains pushed from another ename.com account. I can see the domains, can select 'accept transfer' but there is no submit button or anything...? Any ideas how to get the names? my support requests have drawn a blank.
Cheers
Jay

Hi Sharon,

I guess ename.com/.cn is going belly up?

The problem with transferring my names is that they are .cn and now a business license is required when they are transferred. In addition as mentioned by the op it is impossible to get answers from ename.com

Any ideas?

Simply their system does not work.

I have lost 18 domain names with ename.

There is no simple way to transfer them and it is quite complicated to even perform simple actions.

I just let those domains expire as I was already fed up with the control panel.

Hi wot,

Even the business license is submitted, the problem might not be solved. I have an overseas client who has done everything they require, but still all the functions at ename.com are disabled right now. I contacted ename, but got vague answer.

Chinese citizen can freely use ename.cn. If you trust us, we can help you get the auth-codes.

Hi Sharon,

No point in transferring the names as they are all .cn which require a business license if transferred to a new registrar.

I trust you guys, but what on earth has gone wrong with ename.com, they own ename.cn so in my opinion it's only a matter of time before that goes wrong as well-very bad! And they have some of my money!

Sorry, no idea, they do not answer emails ,faxes or support tickets. As it has been said on the thread I believe they are owned by ename.cn which of course will now also be going to get a bad name-sad!

Sharon - is there an entity, organisation, govt dept in China that I can report them to?

To be honest, I have no idea of what is going on with ename.com but ename.cn is running well right now. Many Chinese domainers use it.

Recently, I consult some one at IPmirror, a singapore registrar, about the business license for .cn
registration and transfer. Here is their reply.

CNNIC current procedure is if you have an existing domain that is registered before 14th Dec 2009, a foreign entity is allowed, and a branch in China is not required. This domain can be renewed and paperwork is not required unless otherwise requested by the registry. If you do an ownership transfer for these existing domains which are registered before 14th Dec, you may or may not be subjected to the new rules, as this will depend on CNNIC record. If the owner is already existing in CNNIC record, there is a possibility that you may not need to submit documents. If it isnโ€™t, you will be required to submit documents and comply with the new rules.

I think all the registrars that supports .cn registration work similarly. If your domains meet the above requirements, I think you can have a shot!

Despite assistance from Sharon at 4cn there has been no progress with ename.com and I have now subsequently sent a complaint to CNNIC as ename.com/.cn is a .cn registrar.

Be interesting to see if they actually respond.

Found solution

The site does not display properly in many browsers like firefox, ie, etc but seems to work fine with google chrome.
Try that, it worked for me.
Part of the details and process dont appear in the other browsers and thats why theres a problem.

I am not sure about the transfer problems though.
Let me know if it worked for you too.

I have 3 .cn names for sale: Join3G.com.cn, About3G.cn, About4G.cn, all purchased before Dec. 14, 2009. If I sell them, can I just push them to another GoDaddy account?

Here you go.

Sent an email to cnnic two days ago, got a response the following day (great customer service) and already a minor success with ename.com.
