Email marketing?

hi,

i have the chance to buy an email marketing website.

The owner assures me these are optin addresses.

Do you think this is a good investment or a bad one.

If i were to buy this i would reduce the prices by 60-70% as they are selling 1.5mill addreses for 199.95.
( that seems impossible to sell for me )

1.5 million emails? Be sure to check that they are legit and actually opt in. May I ask for a site reference?

Buyer Beware!

Nobody, really nobody has that many double opt-in adresses in their database. What you are being offered is a stinker. There are ways to "catch" somebodys email addy without them knowing it. You would do far better buying a legitimate website that has a truely double-opt-in active memberbase. These are not cheap and but at least you will know that it's real.

Spammers are some of the scummiest people in the world. Don't trust them. (I'd stay away from a mass-mailing business altogether).
