Just curious if anyone has gotten a similar email. This is the first one I've ever gotten from them.

I've never see a message directly from ICANN but ever so often Godaddy e-mails me a similar notice making sure my contact information is up-to-date.

nope never seem an email like that

maybe there was a complaint against the whois on one of your domains that would explain a reminder email

My whois info on the domain is the domain privacy from DNOA. Maybe there was a complaint about one domain with that address and others were also emailed. Any other DNOA members using the DNOA privacy get this email?

Fonzie I've gotten several of these over time. I believe they send them out randomly to let people know they need to be in compliance with the whois rules. As long as the whois details on the name are correct, you need take no action and everything is still COOL. If not though, it's time to plug in the new and/or correct information or face a possible loss of the name to a challenge.

At first I was skeptical this was some sort of scam, but all the links check out and it appears to be legit. It's good to know that OB has gotten an email like this.

Yeah, I get these type of emails quite often, not from ICANN, but from my various registrars. Something ICANN has implimented recently. Just basically a reminder to make sure your registrant info is up to date and correct. (at least this is what I've always taken it to mean.)

Legit.
Received many from GoDaddy and others. Usually the reply address is the registrar, however, and not ICANN
