So I have been at this for right around a month and have yet to make my first sale.

Can I have some opinions on what name that you think will sell first ?

Or will any of my names sell ?

fresnofinancial.com

midwestoncology.com

if you price at $1, you might get a sale

:)

chin guards may have a chance of selling, but chin straps is correct phrase.

and if the extra "s' on smartglassses gets you any typo traffic, maybe a few bucks

Good Luck!

imo...

I think one month is nothing, you have to be very patient in this industry.

In one month, I doubt you have acquired all the skills, knowledge and the inventory that is needed to make sales on a regular basis. How do we know, we've been there ;)

I am not very diplomatic in my advice, but my suggestion would be to drop these domains, and raise the bar as you renew the portfolio. Remember, quality > quantity :talk:

Also remember that domain sales are not the norm but the exception. Very few domains will ever sell. Pick domains carefully.

I think most are junk now as well and wished I would not have registered .\

With that being said I really thought the geo names were good pickups.

xxxxxxxxfinancial.com

Can you explain why these are only regfee names as well ?

Not that I doubt you , but I would like to learn from my mistakes.

Thanks,

Geo names are regfee in terms of reseller value but could fetch you a nice amount in end-user pricing. Try reaching out to businesses in that area and see if any of them are interested in those domains.

I have reached out to endusers with midwestoncology and neworleansfinancial with no luck yet , going to send out some more emails this weekend to endusers for the others.

I'm stubborn like that : )

No education is free so it's all experience to me.

Would be nice to make that first post in confirmed sales though.

Thanks,

Hi Aaryn,

If you are actively reaching out to end users I would guess one of the geo financial names will sell first; my pick will be minneapolisfinancial.com.

I really like chinguards.com and think it could be worth developing before selling since it defines a category.

Maybe it's a newbie phase but I have also found the geo domains very attractive and have a few. I do have one question....

I thought about reaching out to end users regarding some medical geo names but I have found it impossible to locate good email addresses for doctors (I'm reluctant to cold call medical offices). You said that you reached out to end users regarding midwestoncology.com, can you say how? Can you provide any tips for locating email addresses for doctors?

Thanks and good luck to you :)

This is how I did it but please remeber I am a newbie with a month experience under my belt.

I goggled midwest oncology and went to every website that was related and looked for a contact email.

That was around 50%

25% some websites had a "contact us" button and I sent my letter to the marketing or HR department.

25% I had to resort to whois.com and used their who is email address.

I then went back to google and used apostrophes around midwest oncology" got a few more names.

Finally I went to sarahs list, it is a site that is similar to craigs list but pertaining to services instead of items.

Got a few more email addresses from there .

That's is exactly how I did it , I have not received a response though , at all.

Maybe one of the more experienced guys can chime in better ideas/ways as well.

Thanks,

Thanks Aaryn! I appreciate your detailed response. I have also found some web sites for potential end users with medical practices but was reluctant to use the "contact us" links on their sites but I'll will give them a try now (for some reason doing so seemed more logical when I read your response...lol).

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Well Imo you have some OK picks but only to the right buyer if you really want to get your first sell do a 7 day auction at eBay its a good place to unload domains your not sure about.
I only reg names at .99 to 1.99 and almost always make a little profit not going to get rich that way but the odds are against all of us. Its not like give a man a domain feed him for a day teach a man to domain feed him for a lifetime, its a gamble best advice try to only buy good bait. LLL.COM LLLL.COM DICTIONARY ONE WORD .COM AND CHECK RECENT TRENDS.
good luck and god bless
