Don't miss out if you have .tv names for sale, Elliot's got a private buyer looking to invest.

Buyer Looking for Keyword .TV Domain Names

I have not invested in .TV domain names, but I understand the space is pretty active. I know of someone looking to acquire one or two very good keyword .TV domain names (under $10,000). If you are looking to sell a .TV domain name or two, please post in the comment section with price.

Requirements are as follows (Must meet ALL of them):

  • One or two keywords
  • Exact match local search volume 10,000+
  • Must make sense as a .TV, like Comedy.TV or Cooking.TV, but not IceCream.TV
  • .TV Names only
  • No Hyphens or numbers
  • Price is a must and must be under $10,000

Please Visit this link to give Elliot your qualified .tv names

Thanks Eric!

Guys do you know is there pre-moderation or I banned there? :)
Made a post and it's not posted

Same here. my post did not go through immediately. It just takes a little while.

Not sure if he has a moderated queue or not over there. Best case scenario is he does and your posts are just awaiting a manual acceptance. Worst case scenario is he's using the common add-on Akismet and it may have auto-flagged a comment as spam based on a few different factors. If the email or website used when commenting was ever used in a blog commenting backlink campaign in the past (even years ago), the Akismet database may still have it listed from a report way back then and identifying it as potential spam.

It's more than likely just that he needs to manually approve the post though, so no worries :)

I noticed a post at Elliot's blog;

This whole post makes no sense.

The arbitrary reason why IceCream.TV makes no sense but Cooking.TV does.

The request for 10,000 local searches (assume US) for a TLD that in general gets ZERO natural traffic

A stated budget yielding results priced to budget not to value.

Suggestion.

Look at whois. Send email with offer. Buy Name.

Itโ€™s cheaper that way.

I have to agree, the criteria for the buying is somewhat arbitrary and almost nonsensical. I find is silly to base a names value on numbers that fluctuate month to month; and at that only 10,000 which is not really enough to base a $10,000 sale upon. It amounts to little more than a basic insight into what people are looking for. Keywords must fit with .TV... That is another subjective and arbitrary criteria. Its more a of a random shot in the dark as opposed to a careful selection process.

Some of the name suggested as being worth near 10k are ridiculous. But hey pay-per-view.tv sold for how much? What do I know!

Will be interesting to see if that post actually results in a sale.

Or if there is another purpose to this exercise.

:)

...always been suspicious of these types of posts, regardless who writes them...

Can't help but feel that this sounds like just so much fish bait and the fish are swallowing hook, line and sinker! Just sent in one, anyway, but refrained from becoming a lemming.

I would love to be proven wrong, though, and have Elliot's sterling reputation remain intact among his devotees here and elsewhere...

Starting to think the same

I have not put prices next to my names

Don't get me wrong, I trust Elliot enough to know it's not a 'blog promo' type of post, why I've put one domain down, with a price.

However, this isn't the best way to buy a domain and when someone has $10k to actually spend on a domain, the approach is entirely different.

Guess we'll know soon enough.

Well I hope if someone actually sells a domain via that thread that we are told.

Anyone could just use the advanced search on Sedo to find names that meet a set of criteria, for example being .tv

I see Elliot posted at least 3 or 4 times in the comments area of the blog, some of which were telling people to please stick to the specs as most were posting stuff way off base. lol

Eric, regardless of how it turns out, thanks for posting this link.

Anytime, when I was browsing the net that day and came across it I just thought it might turn into a lead for someone. Hopefully it's a NPer that gets the deal, that would be great :)

There are few good .tv names in the comments. Most of the comments are from people who are wasting the time by not reading the requirements.

Should have had the comments held for moderation and only let thru the ones that met the requirements, looks like a lot of people can't read. Will be interesting to see if a sale actually goes thru with this.

Useless, but interesting (to me at least):
There are some very good names imo with less than 2000 local, and in some cases under 500.
Of the 700+ names submitted about 329 met search criteria and of those about 313 for # of terms.

Even more interesting were the number of qualifiers vs submitted for those "respected" in .TV land.

Undoubtedly, some of these names are going to sell albeit w/ NDA whatever so it will be nice to track.

I don't understand "Exact match local search volume." Could someone please explain?
