How important is a beautiful for-sale landing page when selling domains, and can you ask a premium price by doing so?

At Efty, we've learned over the years that first impressions matter. Design matters. And having hosted millions of For-Sale landing pages over the past 4+ years we found that mobile-first, stunning graphics, crisp typography, bold call-to-action buttons and a customizable message focused on benefits makes potential buyers not only consider the opportunities but pay a premium for it.

We are committed to our position as an industry innovator and being the catalyst behind an insane amount of offers, inquiries, and most important: commission-free domain name sales.

Today, I am super excited to share here on NamePros that we just pushed the launch button on what we feel are the best-looking For-Sale landing pages since our inception and introduce you to the first three templates in this new series:

Fresku:
fresku-gif-3.gif

Visit BandManager.com for a live example.

Nubia:

nubia-gif-1.gif

Visit FinanceMedia.com for a live example.
Nobo:
nobo-gif.gif

Visit VRHero.com for a live example.
The Fresku design is also available as a BIN-only, UDRP Safe and INDRP Safe template.

The way you set up and customize these new For-Sale landing pages will remain the same and they are available on all subscription tiers including free trial accounts. A custom logo, replacing the domain name, can be used on both the Fresku and the Nubia theme and of course, our integrations with Escrow.com, PayPal and Stripe are supported.

And before I forget, as a bonus, you are now also able to upload your own, custom background image to both the North and Kiffer theme.

Can you also introduce another pricing for domain portfolio in the 2500 range or put in your future consideration.

Thank you .

Thank You @Doron Vermaat I LOVE these new pages! I just read the email and have been converting some names over as we speak!

My favorite is Nobo...and after testing around with Make Offer only, I realized that even thou it does not show the "send message" option at first, by trying to send my self an offer and hitting "send" I love the fact it then pops up saying complete offer with the "message board and details"..this has me sold on this lander due to the fact it's appealing eye catching the green isa winner , straight to the point and makes it Very clear WHAT the NAME is and that it is for sale!

Can't wait to see why turns out.

ps...All 3 landers are great and I really like the looks as I feel it's give a Efty/GD/UD feel all in one.........I still use the Cannabis lander for all my canna names though, I like that one and prior to this update .."helpman" "in the clouds" has been my other favorite .

Thank you, they look great !

I am trying to do a bulk-edit of theme and it is very slow when you do it for 250 domains.

Perhaps you can fix this ? It most likely happens because the HTML/Javascript of the page loads the details of all 250 domains (which is not necessary) and becomes too heavy.

That is not very likely to happen, sorry. A plan for more than 5000 domains is in the making, however.

Try the CSV-based bulk editor and upload tool instead. It's silky smooth, even if you update your entire portfolio at once. Here's the direct link: https://app.efty.com/domains/import/

Nice looking landing pages, easy to navigate and they do not insult the visitor.

Very cool. I like Fresku and Nubia. @Doron Vermaat I have a question though. The landing pages all have the 'not secure' message (I don't understand much about these things but it's a SSL issue, I believe). This issue doesn't exist in Efty's marketplace- that's why I have all the domains funnel there. I think when potential buyers see that the site is secure it can be helpful as far as trust is concerned. Is there a solution that will allow the individual landing pages to not show the 'not secure' message?

The solution is to have your domains redirect to SSL-secure landing pages hosted on EftyMarket.com. Lifetime, Growth and Pro users can change those settings under Settings > For Sale landing pages.

Personally, I do not redirect my landing pages and have the for-sale landing pages display on the domain name itself without SSL.

My personal opinion is that SSL really is there for developed website properties in the e-commerce or finance space (or anything where visitors have to input sensitive data such as password or credit card details). My opinion is that there's really not much need for them on a place holder page or a landing page with a simple form. When I stumble on a domain with https I often assume it's a developed site and not for sale. I feel it's perfectly fine for undeveloped domains to lack SSL as long as SSL kicks in once they navigate to the Buy-it-Now page (which we have covered at Efty).

Thanks @Doron Vermaat . Yeah, I already have them redirected to the marketplace where there's the SSL. I agree that to most people it shouldn't matter. But sometimes buyers aren't very technology savvy. When they see a message that says "not secure" on a page where they're considering a purchase... it might make some of them feel not secure, even on a subconscious level. Though I really like the landing pages I think I'll stick with the redirect to the marketplace for now. Keep up the great work!

@Doron Vermaat Great work, i love NOBO. straight to the point.

But those lovely designs are not implemented on MY EFTY MARKETPLACE (SSL).
Redirect landers must be set to DO NOT REDIRECT MY LANDERS.
This is a concern as i prefer to use MY EFTY MARKETPLACE (SSL) landers. @SuperBrander

I would also love to have the ability to tick on payment options (escrow/paypal/both) not only either one. i want to give the buyer the options to choose on which payment method he would like to use.

Thanks

Thanks, guys. We get a lot of requests to bring these landing pages to the marketplace themes too. Those themes, however, have their own designs and the UI and UX won't be very consistent if we bring the landing page themes to the marketplace.

We're most likely to add a completely new marketplace theme to the platform in which we can incorporate a lot of the design elements that you see in these new landing pages.

I would also love to have the ability to tick on payment options (escrow/paypal/both) not only either one. i want to give the buyer the options to choose on which payment method he would like to use.

This is a popular request so it's definitely on our radar.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

If we use Efty, do we have to sell at Escrow.com? I don't trust Escrow.com, because they may require ID or a talk on the phone, even if there is a history of sales without problems. Also their business model is risky: buyers may say I haven't received the domain, and then you can't get the money.

Domainagents.com also requires Escrow.com . I say I will push domain to your account first, they don't accept. I feel their purpose is to make Escrow.com popular, or make them collect personal info, rather than selling domains and getting commissions.

We currently offer three different integrations at Efty for Buy-It-Now transactions: Escrow.com, PayPal and Stripe and are talking with a couple of other parties to integrate with us.

You are however not limited to these three options if you agree on a purchase price with a buyer via a Make Offer negotiation. Many Efty users transact via Sedo Escrow, Undeveloped Escrow or Epik Escrow for example once they have agreed on a price with a buyer that came in via Efty.

If Sedo escrow would get on board for the Buy-It-Now option......Iโ€™d be thrilled !! Love Efty either way , thank you @Doron Vermaat

Expect an exciting announcement later within the year with regards to a new BIN option at Efty (y)

Great templates for sure. I'm afraid I know the answer to this but is there a way to integrate the Epik Marketplace/Epik Escrow? I am not a fan of paypal but I would love to have my landers have your device friendliness combined with the Epik sales process.

Nice job on the new landers Doron but I disagree and it is not perfectly fine as you say on NOT SECURE issue and no SSl secure padlock appearing right away in the browser address window.

There's only a very low overall value if padlock later appears upon navigating to a BIN page because some people will be nervous right away when they see a Non-Secure message and quickly exit the page and not click anything.

I believe it's an important negative re for-sale pages like Efty but even more so for parking pages where clicks and ppc revenue I am sure are lower because of the issue.

@Doron Vermaat It will be nice to have at least one "price request" form (something like bostonfall.com) landing page instead of "make an offer" form, preferably nobo template.

@Doron Vermaat Although the CSV file went through, I see now that the theme was not updated and the old themes are still in place.

So my guess is that the theme is not updated properly via CSV, can you check ?
