Effects of TLD's in SE Ranking??

Are less popular TLD's ranked lower than others in SE's even if the content, links and everything else is equal? For example, if Widgets.com and Widget.cc had equivalent pages, SEO and stats, would Widgets.com be ranked higher? If so, way, way higher????

.COMs and age will play the role in terms of big G. but, content is the king at all times. No matter what extension it is.

The TLD doesn't matter in SE rankings. The rankings will be determined by how well you optimize your site, keywords, links and the content.

Yep, the reason that you tend to see more .coms at the top is that (a) there are more .coms, and (b) .coms tend, other things being equal, to have been around longer and so be better established. Sites with other .tlds can do just fine.
