Editing Thread Question

Is the ability to edit threads different among the forums?

I remember being able to edit in Fixed Price threads, but you can't in Auction threads? Just made a post, wanted to add something but it wouldn't let me. Can't make another post, because that would violate the once in 24 hour deal.

Also, were the rules meant to be different in those forums? One place was list the exp. date if expiring in 60 days or less. One was list it for all. Didn't know if that was on purpose, or one was updated and they forget to update the other rules.

Correct, the rules are slightly different in each forum. We'll go back over those rules in the near future as we start rolling out updates.

Correct, the Auction forum prohibits editing the first post due to the large number of members that have abused the auction forum and tried to change the details in the middle of an auction. The auction forum is strict that the original brief may not be altered once a bid is placed. Sadly, this can sometimes effect honest edits due to typos which require a member to contact a staff member for assistance.
