eBay, can you trust ANY scripts!?

Hey all,

Well I was looking for a YouTube clone script - A CHEAP one lol.

And found one on eBay for around $5.00

Anyone know if any of the scripts sold on eBay are actuall legit, I mean, not stolen? I need to know if I'm going to have a problem selling a site I use the script on.

Any info on this would be great.

I've always just assumed that they are free downloads from the likes of resourceindex.com with all the comments (showing the true authors) removed from the top of the files...
I too would like someone who's actually paid for one share their experience, out of curiosity

That line alone should be all the information you need.

Rhett, the script may well be legit but if it's for sale at $2.95 then that's exactly what it's worth.
The odds of a script that is worth $999 being sold for $2.95 are Zero. Before you sell the script attached to a site you should contact the original seller and ask for confirmation of resell rights.

I'd be weary of scripts and the sellers claims on Ebay You'd be surprised how many times people try to resell items here like scripts and templates - and later find out the hard way that they never had any rights to them in the first place.

Yep, I wasn't planning on reselling the script, just using it on one site, but thought If I ever want to sell the site, there may be some troubles along the way, as the script may have been originally stolen.

So, guess I won't bother using it, just to be safe. Only $3 down the drain :D.
