The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Their DNS has been down for at least 5 hours. Many websites who host DNS with them are down, and yet there's no word from Dynadot officials... Very unprofessional. Maybe they don't work on Sundays? :D

Lol I don't use them but I think its a DDOS attack on their server or something. They not so experienced in hosting so it happens.

They are going to lose many customers because of this. I understand the downtime, but the lack of communication from their side is unacceptable.

Dynadot.com now loads for me.
They say it's a DDOS attack: http://www.dynadot.info

Their website has been loading for me as well, but their DNS (where many websites are hosted) is still down.

After 5 hours of downtime, they report that they have spotted the problem and their engineers are working on it. Amazing customer service!

They must make up their mind and choose what they want domains or hosting?
They cant handle both and will endup loose their business.
I m using them in most of my domains but I m getting serious problems either by their hosting ddos attacks or by their new trend opening their backorder api to all users enabling some millions of pings 30 minutes before the .com drop times resulting in offline time to their backend.

And they are back.

Shame on them for taking 8 hours to get their servers back up.

Before complaining, people should follow Dynadot's announcements. People at Dynadot have communicated in a transparent way, both on Facebook and Twitter, announcing:

"Our servers are currently down due to dos attack. Our engineer are working on getting everything back up ASAP! Thank you for your patience!"

When something like that happens, no organization is immune, and Dynadot cannot be blamed, even if it creates unfortunate inconvenience for some of us.

Yes, they announced that -- almost 5 hours AFTER the servers went down! That's obviously when their engineers started working on the problem.

They should separate their Registration/Hosting onto separate domains/ip/servers. That way a DDOS attack on their hosting doesn't affect their registration services.

10 years later and their servers are down once again (or at least it seems for yet more 'scheduled maintenance').

As I said. I've never experienced any downtime other than the normal maintenance downtime. It must be the only thing which hasn't affected me, online :)

They don’t have server issues. They do updates sometime in the middle of the night United States time which is where they are. I agree it’s annoying that the functionality of our accounts goes down during these updates but they usually are done in a few minutes.
