I bought a good domain through Dynadot broker orders, the domain is hosted on afternic and its nameservers are also set to afternic.

I got an email "confirming" that afternic was gonna send the auth code today and the transfer would be complete.

Instead, I got an email saying it was cancelled. What the hell? I'm very disappointed....how could that have happened? Seller backed out? Took them 2 weeks to back out?

Afternic is a trustworthy company.
Personally, I have a premium domain listed there that I’m looking to sell.
It’s highly valuable in the Arab market.
If you’re looking to invest in a domain, I strongly recommend purchasing it — it’s also very affordable.

Hi

if you get a full refund then it’s not a scam.

the platform can’t make either party complete a transaction.

imo…

Have you asked for transaction logs or proof from Afternic/Dynadot to see what went wrong?
If you got a full refund, that leans against “scam,” but losing the domain after commitment is unacceptable.
Others: check reputation, get all messages in writing, and escalate to dispute resolution mechanisms if needed.
