So, you may ask: why you are selling this?
I will try to be directly in the question: Brazilian shipping costs is very expansive at this time, I charge about US$30 to delivery a single DVD to an U.S. customer, so I'm loosing sales every month. In the past, the shipping cost was about US$15 to ship a small package from Brazil to U.S., but today the things are not good in this scenario.
The goal of this business is: running it from U.S.!!! I can be the supplier for the products, so shipping 50 DVDs at once, for example, in 1 box via FEDEX, will cost you less than US$2 per DVD for shipping cost. I have been looking for an U.S. stablishied partners for years, but now I have decided to sell it since I was partner with another person and he don't want to keep in business, so I can't run it alone. But I can keep supplying the new buyer with Brazilian DVDs.
The Brazilian DVD costs are variable. But, for example, it will be released the new Carnival 2006 on DVD in a few days, I have already about 40 customers that sent us a request to be notified as soon as it is released. Note that these customers are interested in buying this DVD for US$27.98 (list price in website) plus about US$30 of shipping cost! Imagine if it can be offered for sale for $29.98 including shipping!!! I'm sure the sales will raise up very fast. This DVD cost about US$16 (it may vary due to daily exchange rate between Brazilian and US currencies). This is just an example. Some DVDs costs less, others more. Anyway, the main trouble I have here is not the DVD cost, the main trobule is in fact the shipping costs from Brazil.
Price and conditions: I have about 3,000 DVDs in stock, plus some audio CDs, all of them are original releases, factory sealed. But unfortunatelly many of them was purchased and not included in website yet, since I have planned to stop the business some months ago. So, about a half of DVDs are not listed in website, and all listed in website are not stock, since many of them I was taking backorders to not overstock. It also works well, but most of customers decides to order in the same moment that they check the item availability. If they did not find it in stock, maybe an order is lost. So, the DVDs are assorted, some of them are no longer available in US and other countries, others are exclusive release in Brazil, and others are titles that are already availble in US and other countries, but I have been sold many of them specially to people that have interest in portuguese language, and also brazilian people that lives outside of Brazil. Most of titles are from non-Brazilian productions, but I have also a considerable quantity of Brazilian music & movies DVDs.
The asked price includes full stock is US$100,000 (website, domain, DVD stock). If buyer is interested only in domain/website (traffic), the price is US$35,000
Well, I hope the main info about the business is included here. Anyway, please be free to ask any other questions.
