Well after months of great positioning on MSN under the search term teen we've suddenly dropped off the radar - we're not even in the top 100 anymore. Our position had been improving from the 2nd or 3rd page back to the first (we were #1 a while ago) but suddenly we're gone. Anyone else have this sorta thing happen to them?

I haven't changed anything up either for sure this time.

Yeah, I think MSN recently changed stuff around, we were #1 for "rap music" for the longest time, the last time I checked before I sold the site, it was down in the 4th page or so...

Just noticed we held on to 1 #1 ranking but it's just strange how sites with drop off the face of the Earth for a search time while others will hang there.

Well I've also seen some changes in MSN serp's. One of my sites dropped from #1 to #57 for a search term. I didn't do anything but wait and it was on #1 postion again after 4 weeks.

They defently changing some things around. One of my older websites had around 80 first page rankings on msn, and almost all of them have dropped. Hopefully in a week or two they will come back.

MSN, since opening its new search has been a real bag of tricks. They used a traditional SEO-recognising algorithm to please webmasters, and then they gradually filter in the truly relevant algorithm, alienating all these sites that believed they'd done so well in the SERPs.

Of course, this is all just my opinion :p
