Dubai Goldrush Will Continue for a Long, Long Time!!

MY GAWD!!! I was just doing some in depth research on the net about some of the projects going on in Dubai. No wonder you are buying up Dubai domains like crazy! They are spending over $90,000,000,000 on some of the most incredible projects in world history. Here are a few:

-Dubailand. Will be the largest entertainment complex in the world when completed. Twice the size of Disneyland. Do a google search to get some pictures of this one. It is mindblowing.

-Burj Dubai. Will be the tallest most beautiful building in the world when completed in '08.

-Dubai Marina. A $10 billion project that will house 120,000 people and be a city unto itself.

-Dubai Sports City. A massive super modern sports complex that will also contain hotels and condos.

-Dubai ski dome. Largest indoor ski resort in the world. All kinds of snow sports here as well as spas and much more.

-Madinat Al Arab. An entire futuristic world being created on the seafront in Dubai.

-Hydropolis. An underwater hotel!

-Old Town. Located a foot of Burj Dubai. Will include largest shopping center in the world as well as a beautiful redidential area.

-Space Science World. Part of Dubailand. An entire world devoted to space travel.

And that is just a sample. There is much much more being developed. I have not been domaining all that long so when I went to register some names most real good ones were taken. However, I think I got one of the last real good, short domain names that should sell for some good cash considering the job boom all this is creating. DubaiTemps.com. It is short, easy to remember and covers a huge market: temp jobs, and many full time jobs, since many full timers in Dubai are actually only long term temp workers.

To conclude, it should be clear that the goldrush in Dubai will be going strong for a long, long time to come. Dubai domain names will do great and should be a part of every domainers portfolio.

I don't think they are concerned about global warming whatsover, it takes masses of energy to make concrete ! I think I read somewhere that they are also using far more water than anyone.

Basically, Dubai's oil supply is getting low so they are investing heavily into Tourism to help secure their future.

I think dubai is the most adanced place these days. The buildings are huge and beautiful. after 6 months, I go there, officially, and every time I see new buildings there. Great place to live

i have been to Edinburgh & other places many times. beautiful. my sister studied at Stirling.

I actually think the hyphen works really well in this case.
The fact it dates from 1996 & having all three words will mean the search engines will love it.

I am reviving this thread beacause:

1.) We need one thread where new PORJECTS going on in Dubai can be listed and commented on for domain name ideas. My Reem Island thread covers Abu Dhabi projects and this one can cover Dubai projects. The Official Dubai Domain Thread does not cover projects, just names. Here we can get into detail about projects.

2.) The timing is perfect since next week, Oct. 16-18, Cityscape Dubai will be going on and this is where all the incredible Dubai projects are exhibited. Go to cityscape.ae for details.

As for new projects, I just learned that Dubai Properties will be unveiling some new $11Billion mega-project at Cityscape that will be built within the Business Bay and Dubailand developments. No further details available.

My guess is that it's the extension of Dubai creek to the sea. "Canal of Arabs" or something along those lines.

Nice place - would like to visit but don't see the huge value people are placing on these domain names. A few of the short right on topic ones - sure. All the rest...

And some are overlooking that all those fancy buildings could very well be on fire in a few months time as Iran has threatened to bomb any and all nations that allow US forces to bomb them from their territory.

And there are so many rednecks in the Western world who will NEVER visit the Middle East, the home of terrorism, Osama, Saddam etc etc etc. those aren't my feelings but a vast chunk of the Western world feels that way!

That's a very good point and there will always be people who will not travel for those reasons - However - Dubai is receiving more and more tourist every year including over 30% more japanese visitors. Dubai/UAE is in a central location to capture a massive amount of potential Tourists.

Of course any sort of disaster happening in any tourist region worldwide could potentially have a massive negative effect.

I intend to develop many of my Dubai related names and attempt to cash in with affiliate linking and hopefully advertising one day.

The reality right now (as I see it) is - There have'nt been very many Reported Dubai related Domain sales.....YET !
