Drop or Not?

I want to suggest a new idea for a topic in which we share names from our portfolios from which we would like to know if we should keep renewing them or not.

This should not be a appraisal thread but of course it would be useful to explain why you think a user should drop or renew.

Let me kick off with a couple of names i have that will expire soon and i'm wondering if i should drop 'em or not:


Wannada dot com
Heromar dot com
MaaQoo dot com

i registered these shortly after i started domaining..

Don't you think that " not so honest pros " could suggest someone to drop a name so they can register it straight away or backorder it? Just saying..

though I didnt like any of those domains. I might have dropped them. Before that i would try to sell them here on namepros for $10 or so. Thats just me

Being brandables, it's either hit or miss. I kinda like Wannada.com of the three. But if you have them listed on one of the brandables websites, I'd renew for one more year. However, my personal opinion is you should drop them.

I'm not really a brandables guy, but I would drop all 3 without a second thought. They have no meaning, and they don't suggest anything to me, so I can't see their use.

There's a company in beta, WannaDo (dot com) with a TM, wannada will never fly IMO.

I think this thread could also be great for those strongly considering to drop a name but if someone here things they are worth renewing you can either push them to another NP'er for free or sell them at $10 and make back at least your reg fee.

Your idea is a great one - we have an appraisal section but having a specific section called "drop or not" would be excellent and perhaps popular. I run into that question a lot, and its an entirely different category of names than ones I'd put up for appraisal. As far as those three, absent any inquiries or traffic, I would not renew, especially if your register date was greater than a couple of years ago.
