I need the advice of a Domain Master. One of my dream .coms to develop was just listed on Sedo, and I am not sure if I understand their listing system. The listing says $4,999 or best offer. Below that it says
Your offer _____USD. Does that mean the listing is BIN for $4,999 or does it mean that offers must be $4,999 or higher. If I type in $4,999, does that mean the seller is obligated to accept my offer? I have just enough to buy the domain for it's list price. (I made-up the above the listing price because I am paranoid LOL).

Also, is there a better number to reach Sedo? I have called 617-499-7200 several times without much success. Usually, I get a recording before being disconnected. I was hoping to talk with a customer service rep to answer the above questions. I would feel uncomfortable committing to pay $x,xxx for a domain without being able to talk with a Sedo rep. Thankfully, I have Namepros Ninjas to save the day!

You can offer below that $4999 price then seller will responde you a counter offer. Also if you offer $4999 seller don't have to sell it and IMO he will counter offer you a higher price. If you willing to pay $4999, I suggest you to offer $1000 - $2000 first then see the seller's counter response. When a counter offer received you can give him a counter offer, too and this continues like this untill you accept his offer. BTW he can refuse your counter offers if your offers are very low :)

Good luck.

Thanks BMS! The domain wouldn't be a good deal for a domainer, so I am going to share more details. The listing price is closer to

or best offer.

So the listing price is just a suggestion. It's not a buy it now?

What would be your first offer with these new numbers?
