I am having a problem downloading web pages with large jpg files.
The browser times out before the jpg file completely
downloads and it is neccessary to click on the refresh button
several times to complete the download of the web page.
Is there anything that I can add to these large web pages to
extend the browser timeout time or to auto refresh
the web pages as they are being downloaded?

As far as I know, timeout time can only be extended server-side, sorry.

Are you on 56k? A lot of designers are ignoring the fact that many users are still stuck on dial-up. That's the problem. Some designers have a clue, but most don't, I'm afraid.

hi. it depends what is causing the timeout, it could be your Internet Explorer browser (most likely) but it could also be the remote server timing out on the connection.

there is nothing you can do about the remote server, but assuming it's your internet explorer you can change your timeout fairly easy. click on the link below to learn how:

It's common for Dialup users. I also had that type of problems :)
