If so, doubt there is any hope of getting reliable number as i know no way of counting them and sites come & go daily. imho

Seems like they are doing their best to promote the extension, get .tv links do not appear to be affiliate links

It's not uniques sites, but pages indexed. Rather a vague approximation.
