I won a SEDO auction +5 weeks ago

clasificados.mobi

The purchased domain has still not be transfered to me.

SEDO is saying the domain owner still not give them the EPP code.
But what I noticed is that the owner of this dot mobi name now put the domain under WHOIS privacy.
For me that the owner have change his mind and no longer want to sell.
That look likes logical, no?

I guess the owner is probably an NP member as they are so addict to dot mobi.

The question is:

Should not SEDO cancel the sale and refund me, or does it make sense to still be waitting?

Sedo can be slow but this situation sounds like a sellers remorse. Since Sedo does nothing to go after a seller like this your best option is probably to get your money back from Sedo.

They'll cancel it and refund you eventually when they really don't believe there's any possibility that he'll transfer it. Changing to privacy would suggest, as you said, that he has no intention to sell it and doesn't want you spreading his name around. I'm sorry this happened to you... Really sucks, as does Sedo.

Yes It's what I think.
Otherwise why have changed his WHOIS to privacy...
He has the chance I did not copy the WHOIS info when it was still available.
I would have spread the word about his bad practices.
I am wondering if SEDO punish these sellers that are not correct?

Its a shame things like this happen and SEDO does absolutely nothing about it.

Speaking from experience, litigation is your only option.

They should have fixed time frames for these situations but apparently they don't.

It's one of my biggest pet peeves, IMHO ... :red: ... :yell: ... hearing, repeatedly, of these .MOBI (of course not just limited to this extension, either) Sedo "sales" / auctions gone awry (with seemingly zero repercussions from Sedo toward the offending parties)! >:( :imho:
Hint: Check the IP's, send warnings, monitor more closely, and do some damage control, folks!

Not quite the same professional standards as our beloved Namepros.com, Inc! :music:

It really is a shame that people do this sort of thing, SEDO should give (the buyer) some sort of compensation/as well as a small fee for SEDO) if a sale fails to go ahead!, that way the seller is more inclined to go ahead with the deal!

Has anyone pursued a recanting seller at Sedo and forced them to uphold the contract?

Does not SEDO have an escrow method for buyer and seller? It seems like to me with the posts that I am reading that they do not. Does not Moniker require individuals to place their domains into escrow before an auction? It just seem to make sense to me.
