I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Once I drop them they will become part of the TBR and who do you think will register them but another unfortunate .ca domainer.

But that's the story of the TBR in general. :xf.laugh:

A lot of good sense in @MapleDots post re demand for crypto and that could be applied to many niches similarly. So what do people feel are some of the best niches for .ca domain investment? Clearly words distinctly Canadian, generic with wide branding possibilities, and geo oriented in profitable businesses with many outlets would be a few, but ehat else?

I picked up TravelOkanagan through Namespro for $20. I'll keep it for 5 years-total investment $70, before I drop it. I'm pretty confident of $500-$1500 sale.

I've tried geos with very little traction. I'm not sure that niches are the right way to go for .ca's. Dictionary words, short and brandables that have a broad appeal seem to be the best investment.

I've tried geos with very little traction.

I like base GEOs, like names of towns or areas, as these usually have a lot of businesses using "geo name" right at the beginning. I own a few of those, and while I haven't marketed them yet, I think some of them may sell, especially those made up of one or two words and/or are last names, and are also used outside of the GEO area.

As a hypothetical, if you own flagstick.ca, and Flagstick is a small town in Alberta, and FlagStick or Flag Stick are potential generic company names/brandables or you might sell it to Joe Flagstick, who wants to set up Flagstick Electrical - that's what I'm referring to.

Now if you're talking mixed-GEOs like CannabisVancouver.ca or TorontoNightLife.ca, then I don't really get into that - like I always say, treat .CA like the top 10% of .COM. The cream will always sell.

Flagstick would definitely sell. Earlier in my career I loaded up with stuff like:
VancouverLeather.ca
TorontoClean.ca

I was fortunate to sell TorontoClean, but barely worth it.

Anyone else think that the .Ca extension shoul
there is a lot of crypto interest and activity in canada

with new atms it seems almost daily

but.. then there comes an exchange where owner dies and it doesn't help

i had a few names.. still do.. and no interest either.

but... maybe we're all wrong and its all about the future.. not about the here and now.

i guess most people will drop them... then probably this guy gonna pick it all up hehehhe
came across his site via some random lander recently.. lol

https://blockchainnames.com/tokens/

a lot of good names there.. in com too.. but the amounts of .ca in various categories are pretty mindblowing
My crypto-related domain inquiries fell off of the cliff last summer (2018). But i sold a bunch of .Com crypto domains in 2017 and first half of 2018.
I still have some good crypto .Com domains leftover (nameselling.com/crypto-names) in case there is another crypto wave.

I notice that in the newest CENTR quarterly report (which overall showed the slowest YOY growth of domain registrations since they started the series) that .ca leads in percentage growth among the 15 largest country code TLDs. Report at:

been quite a bit of an increase in offers for my .ca domains this year. A lot more than in the past. Still no leads for my CBD or canna names though. Anyone getting any .ca sales?

My .ca sales are reported below :xf.eek: ! (although I have now let the dozen or so I had all drop- just have 2 not for sale ones left)

2019 has not been good at all, and other than a few lowball offers (all ran after counters) I've had just one small sale. And this is after a fairly good second half to 2018.

Part of it is my fault, as I just haven't had the time to list all my new acquisitions, which hopefully will take place once I stop having to shovel my big-ass driveway + walk every 2 days (grumble, grumble).
