Does anyone know how to add DNS TXT codes (like you need to verify domains) to registered domains at MyID?

Every service seems to cost $$$ so I'm a bit hesitant to look in every nook and cranny, but the default "Change DNS" does not have any such feature.

@DomainRecap I don't think they support it. I don't see the option.

Here's how I do it. I use my hosting account at DreamHost to do it. I point the purchased domain name server to it and do the rest there. And forward the domain to sales page.

Thanks, and that's my last-ditch option as I'd rather be able to do it straight from MyID. But man is their system archaic.

I have reached out to their support and if I get an answer on how it's done, I will post it here.

i kinda lost track of a domain. i can't remember where is is regged. when i run a whois check it shows the registrar as Domain Robot Enterprises Inc. i have never heard of that registrar. i certainly don't have an account there. maybe the registrar i was dealing with was sold, i don't know. i usually reg my .cas at rebel, namesilo or whc and it is not with any of them. it is not a top flight name but i would still like to find where i regged it. it has me stumped.

solved. i had it at ionos.ca and let it expire on feb 17 and just forgot to remove it from the marketplaces.

I really hate when we add an hour for Daylight Savings, as it's always a crapshoot which TBR Registrars will move their deadline ahead and which will not. On their websites, they always keep the 1:40-1:50 EST times the same year-round and I need to start keeping a notebook handy on which ones actually jump an hour.

I bid on some that used to maintain the 1:XX EST time, while holding back on others that usually do not, and I was only about half-right because naturally, these guys have no clue what's going on and either forgot about DS (making next week another crapshoot) or changed their policies sometime during the year.

Thank God it was a crappy week on the TBR, but what a mess!

If those are the "hot domains" of the week then I guess I'm out, as I don't think I'll want to pay what ISO.ca ends up selling for in this pandemic-inflated market.

Does anyone know how the WHC auction system works? I was following the ISO.ca auction today and only had a bid at WHC (not at Siber, which is linked to it). Since iit shares bids with Siber, I always assumed it worked on the same system, but apparently not.

ISO.ca slowly moved from $850 to $1150 , and as there were no new bids and it stated 0 seconds remaining on the timer, I naturally thought the auction was over at $1150, just after 2 PM.

But then suddenly the second left clock added another 60 minutes (Siber adds 3 minutes for each new bid) and it started ticking down from there. I watched for about 10-15 minutes and it stuck at $1150 - I honestly thought it was over, and the system was malfunctioning (the left clock ticks down by the hour all day and night prior to the auction) but I just got an email just this minute stating it was *officially* over and had ended at $1200.

Huh?

I'm really wondering how that extra +1-hour displays over at Siber... and I kinda feel like Yogi Berra here...
