I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

today i got an email that both my domains will be deleted unless i provide evidence of being a Canadian citizen ^^ i thought i could just register the names and worry about the rest later like i do with .us

remember, lying is always wrong

what if you reply with that due to covid your citizenship card replacement has been delayed for over a year, I know someone who has been waiting this long and more, and sell those valuable .ca domains

just mentioning this more for fun rather than an actual method. Curious what triggered this check on you, never had one myself

Not really, especially if you get your monies refunded with .ca they really have to be good and liquid before you are required to miss them

the usual spelling for "center" in Canada is "centre", I would try to hold them both if I was registering a domain like that. "center" is what gave you away kidding

I actually don't know how that works and would just let them go. In .ca they don't have much resale value and unless you want them for yourself as an enduser I would not be overly attached. I think some registrars might hold .ca registrations by some legal proxy but never had to research that.

A pretty ugly TBR list this week, and unless you are a big fan of NNN.ca domains, there is really nothing in the way of potential premiums.

Personally, I am far more interested in how many domains get selected, as pre-pandemic this junkpile would be in the usual 50-60 pick range, but right now who knows? With our current "TBR Bubble" I'm thinking that is could hit or exceed 150 picks, as lots of people seem to be just "buying to buy".

No idea of 161, but 151 .ca was getting bid up at several sites, which is why I surmised it was the top bid at NP.

It certainly could have been, as the auctions I took part in were pretty sedate (following the poor quality of the TBR), with most in the $75-$170 range, and nothing on my list finished over $200.

We almost hit a 200 pick average for April. Even with a crappy TBR list this week the Pandemic Petes were out in full force to the tune of 180 picks, which translated into a truly massive weekly average for April of 197 domains!!
