Okay, over the last few days, virtually all my previous lowball bid domain listings have been rebid at the same amount (other than the BINs I set and the ones on Sedo are supposedly "new" buyers" - just joined in September(!), so we all know who they are) and I have been holding off responding as long as I possibly can.

Cast my vote at CIRA today. Hope you slackers get off your duffs and support a candidate.

The .CA To Be Released Weekly Picks for September 11 are up and at 'em:

We experienced a slight increase in the number of TBR domains last week, but those gains were reversed this time out, as the total checks in at only 7,375. When compared to the 7,783 total entries from the prior TBR, it represents a weekly drop of -408 domains, and when combined with the 7,642 and 8,188 entries from the two weeks before that, this translates into a new and slightly lower (by -91) weekly average of 7,747 TBR entries through the prior month.

A member here has flirty.ca for sale and asked me if I wanted it as well.

Does not fit in to my portfolio but if someone else is interested I can get you the contact info.
I did not discuss price but it should be affordable.

Do you know what I really hate?

When an LB (lowballer) returns to the scene of the crime, and makes second offer (at the same price) on a domain marketplace, then (thinking he found some more money in the couch) you counter and just because the LB is a nitwit, he does not respond and you have to wait for the X days bid period to elapse.

My crystal ball is a bit hazy, but I'm seeing someone dropping $70 on a 5-year renewal, adding a BIN price far in excess of the original counter, then just forgetting that the domain even exists.

My domains are all listed at Godaddy

I don't respond to anything below 1k, same goes for my marketplace
If a 1k minimum offer is outside of your budget on a domain then you're wasting my time.

Your unfortunate mistake was responding to the lowball offer in the first place.

Your unfortunate mistake was responding to the lowball offer in the first place.

I know, but every once in a while, those low initial offers turn into deeper pockets.

I don't mind lowballers per se, other than in large numbers, but being a dick and forcing me to wait X days for the bid counter to expire is pretty freaking lame.

So unless this guy finds a new couch, it's #OffTheMarket

That what most of the low ball guys do when you respond, that is why I just ignore them.

I only had 2 bidders do this, and they may have been the same person.

And I'm having a pretty good year, both professionally and domaining-wise (though the website is hemorrhaging and may have to be put down) so it's no issue to play hardball once the X days tick off.

The .CA To Be Released Results & Leftovers for September 11 are online:

This weekโ€™s .CA TBR list dropped to just below the mid-7K mark, and the overall quantity and quality of single-words dropped, with an almost total lack of true premium names. This dearth of high-end domains also meant we didnโ€™t compile a Top Picks list this week, although some of the first 10 selections included...

Make sure you delete old domains from Pool or you will end up with a domain that you donโ€™t even remember back ordering years ago!

The good thing is that you mistakenly back-ordered a domain that you also qualify for. :xf.grin: :hungover:

Stall.ca-$50

I really like short, singular words like Stall. Good pickup.

P.S. sold 2 domains today - one was a nice transaction at Afternic and the other was a long, drawn-out affair with a lowballer that I really just met-in-the-middle because I was so jazzed about the previous sale - broke my own rule and sold for 3-figures. :xf.frown:

My first half of 2019 totally sucked eggs (mainly because I fell behind on my listings), but things are definitely picking up.
