I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

the average gd employee knows nothing about .cas and restrictions.it took me a while to get things straightened out as well.i would get answers like "give us 8 hours and they will be pushed into your account",of course they never were.the guys that answer the phones are trained in the basics and nothing more.you will have to get on the phone explain it as best you can and ask to speak to someone who knows about .ca restrictions.i eventually got a full refund, but not until the matter got passed on to someone who understood what was going on.btw, every call to gd is at least an hour out of your life that you will never get back.

Clueless = GD regarding .ca names. Hope you get things sorted Frank.
โ€œwe are escalating thisโ€ is the response I was so familiar with>:( but no more for me. I just donโ€™t use them for anything to do with .ca

Going on for weeks now and the support team is just clueless, they won't answer me anymore.

It's late as hell (I really hate this weather) but here is the .CA To Be Released (TBR) Results & Leftovers:

This weekโ€™s .CA TBR list was average in terms of the quality and quantity of word domains, and there were actually a few ultra-premium names in attendance to help bring in rubes. The top selections were partially on target with our expectations and included

Better than turning mealy apples into AppleButter.ca

All it takes are 2 bidders with deep pockets.

Well it will be interesting to see what is done with it.

Itโ€™s safe to say now that โ€œA Star is bornโ€.

Had I been in that auction I would have bid it up to 10k at least and possibly 12 before I would have bowed out.

You probably would have won it if you were in it. I guess all depends on how bad the other 2 wanted it.

They have a nice portfolio, I have looked at it a few times.

If you really, really want to go down the conspiracy path - MYID claims by email that I did not backorder star.ca before the deadline. Therefore I can not participate in the auction.

This is of course patently ridiculous and as of 06:30 Pacific they are not answering the tollfree number on their contact page.

Tick tock.

Well... I phoned their toll-free number 4 times - they never answered. I left 2 polite and respectful messages which they didn't return.

I had driven overnight to Calgary and I was bagged, I finally went to sleep around 09:00 Pacific. Upon awaking at 14:00, naturally I checked my email and there was an email response from MYID. They concede that I had logged into my account before the deadline but they don't concede that I backordered the name. Nevertheless they agreed to add me to the auction!!

The auction that ended 3 hours before I woke up.>:(:xf.cry::xf.frown: Didn't even get to wave at it.

Another frustrating MYID experience. If they weren't catching 50% of the best names I wouldn't go near them.
