Don't Overdo Keywords In Content

Google verifies that overuse of a keyword can hurt you.

Google's John Mueller replied to a thread in Google's webmaster help forum asking why a site is no longer ranking

John explained that he is repeating the same keyword over and over again, to the point where it is making it hard for Google to "recognize what's really unique & compelling" on that specific site.

Parroting the same keyword over and over again in your content also scares off real visitors. So just ... stop it.

This is basic really. back in the days it was called "keyword stuffing" some say 2% some say 1% use of keyword every 500 words. There is no "guideline" but basically, yeah dont overuse your keyword :)

Yep and amazing people are still doing it. Well maybe not THAT amazing, seeing as how many people call themselves "SEO's" when they haven't got a clue.

Even more critical not to do it in today's post-Panda world - that kind of spam is more likely to hurt you than help

You'd think people would know not to stuff keywords... but just last week I saw someone using hidden text with the same color as the background on a brand new site :O :bah:

Ouch!!! How "retro".

I was just looking at a service provider's site today (as a potential customer) - keywords repeated and forcibly squashed into the text so many times that their pages were hard to read and made them sound like idiots.

For anyone who thinks this is necessary: Search engines understand word stemming. Search engines understand semantics and related terms. Possibly better than you do :).

There are instances where people can't stop themselves from adding in too much keywords. They are not aware that it brings more harm than good not just for their websites but to their readers as well. I am so glad that Google is smart enough to recognize keyword spammers.

We are using 2-3% keywords in content is this good for website health or bad?

I think it is better to work a little more at the quality of your keyword than put too many of them.
I think 1 keyword for 200 words is enough.

I use 2-3 keywords in my 400 words article. Hope it can't hurt my site. :)

You can find some website on top search result with more than 5% keywords density so, my point is that we can not predict Google what they are saying and what showing in their search result. Always write your content for reader not for search engine this is one basic rule to safe from search engine penalty.

Optimal range of keyword in content is 4-7%. Keyword in each paragraph
