Hey nP members,



we all know that the TLD space has changed completely.

While we can see many creative and great domains made from new TLDs we can see much more really weird and pointless .combinations - means weird and pointless domain name combinations in the .com extension - it often just looks like that 'it must be a .com in every case - no matter how pointless the name combination itself is'.

There are now so many opportunities to 'label' meaningful domain names with a new TLD - I personally recommend .top for the optimum / best 'label' - don't think .com is the future.

In a world of new opportunities (new TLDs) they are weird .combinations if you ask me.

.top are adding domains like crazy. If they go on like that they will soon be on .top of the spam charts and the registration charts.

Every domain has spam problems, most spam I get is definitely from .com

That's nonsense - just read my posts carefully to see that's not the case.
It's more like you are a '.top is spam' - spammer.
Since I am a member at nP I see you always talking (writing) about '.top spam' - you love to talk (write) about .top and you are always there when .top is there.
Maybe because you did not get your wished .top domains - I don't know - but in fact it seems like there is something with .top what is actually fascinating you.
I can't help - but according to your permanent posts about .top I start to think, you are actually a big fan of .top and I think we will see this in future.

You cant use .top with all domains.
All new gTLD are good in the right place, but not in each combination or niche.
I think the unique generic extension that match with every combination and niche is .xyz because doesnt mean nothing... And easy to remember for non-domainer potencial client who you tell your business website to. Nobody will remember .top, .today, .business, .company, .online and the rest.
For example, you are an end user and you need a travel related website.
VisitSpain.top? FantasticTours.top? EasyTravel.top? Really?
Who will remember .top in these combinations?
New gTLD are good making sense in combinations as business.today, news.express, online.services, travel.agency and more.
I think the most universal extension is .xyz, because the potencial client doent need to remeber 2 parts of you web address - the domain name and the extension.
Just say "the last 3 letters of alphabet" and thats all.
It is also generic and match with all languages.
You cant use .travel or .today with spanish, germany, french...
You cant use .top with non-english words..
But you can use .xyz with any language and niche.
I think the best extensions are: .com, .net, .xyz and ccTLD
And for some language also good .org, .biz and .info
This is my opinion as end user

You could as we,ll say just add .site at the end. I mean it makes sense because you are vising a site and everyone knows what a site is(at least in many countries) but they still have to remember that it ends with site or that it ends with .xyz etc.

Try to remember .gdn or type correctly .business or online or .insurance if you non-english speaking potencial client who just trying to remember or type the web adress he was told..

Of course it is better than gdn but you still have to remember because by default web addresses end with the .com or the ccTLD. That is what people will assume by default if they know the brand name. If you want to send them to another extension you will have them need to remember that. So you still need to rememeber brand+string

Also very easy and the same for many languages .pro, top, vip and the rest, but they dont match with any niche and words combinations, so here .xyz is much better.

Being better than a bad extension does not necessarily make it a good investment.

If you have a few great keywords, I mean really great keywords you might be able to resell them for a profit eventually but you will likely not make a fortune from this. It's by no means guaranteed though.

If you have mediocre or crap names you will be throwing money away IMO.

crap keywords can sell in .com, mediocre names can be quite valuable in .com but worthless in many other extensions. You need really good keywords if you want to sell in other extensions.

I expressed my opinion as end user not as domainer.
I just tell that if I need a website for my business I preffer .xyz or .com or .net
Because these extensiones give more possibility my potencial client would remember my web address.
I dont talk about keywords and traffic, I talk about real business web address and as the potencial client will remember it

At this planet dont speak just english.
Not everybody knows what does mean "top".
Also, it doesnt match with ALL combinations.
I dont tell the .top is the worst, I just say it doesnt match with all niche and terms, and it is not universal as .com, .net, .xyz

.top will become a totally universal TLD sooner or later.
I am from AUSTRIA and 'top' is well used as a term for 'best' in DE / AT / CH (german language) and other EU countries / languages.

- But it will be .top because it makes curious what's on it's website because it's the most powerful description / status / label in industry and visitors will be interested to know why this domain ends with .top

- Because ancienmayanruins.top sounds exciting.

- Because nampro.top would sound better than namepros.com.

- It will become a = turn into an universal TLD with time.

- Because .top is for all while .vip is primarely for ('very important) persons'.
