advice DON'T GET LOST IN WEIRD .comBINATIONS!

Hey nP members,



we all know that the TLD space has changed completely.

While we can see many creative and great domains made from new TLDs we can see much more really weird and pointless .combinations - means weird and pointless domain name combinations in the .com extension - it often just looks like that 'it must be a .com in every case - no matter how pointless the name combination itself is'.

There are now so many opportunities to 'label' meaningful domain names with a new TLD - I personally recommend .top for the optimum / best 'label' - don't think .com is the future.

Hopefully, I live long enough to see ".top. replace ".com" as #1 extension.

Still remember all the hype about ".mobi" becoming #1..
Just my opinion..

I see people on NamePros talk about the hype of .mobi. My opinion is that .mobi never caught on because it's not a word, not conducive to hacks, impractical and longer than .com. What was this hype based on?

There's nothing in .TOP beyond your imagination. New Extension could be famous between domainers but most endusers really don't have any idea about those tlds or gtlds etc. .COM is always a King and will be remain same. I have seen many threads here on namepros like this to start a hype but endsup in nothing except few registrations.

I believe the top extension was to confuse and misguide consumers to believe it is a TLD rather than a gTLD. Top level domain is a play on words a sneaky one not to represent top or peak. So far names with GTLD extensions sold in a domain market place haven't started selling trends. Some of the new gTLD's may only have a dozen words that really go well together. No point just buying odd stuff because others have taken the best of them. 1400+ new extensions that need the best first word to go with them.
I have a fair idea which will be the strong gTLD extensions over time.

Actually this thread isn't as bad as some of the post for sake of it threads but really hard to take advice even if good when market place speculation is based on a buyers wallet over the quality of domain.

If you tell yourself over and over someone will pay you a billion dollars it still will not happen. If you are joking well let us all in on your laugh point us back to your thread and have a giggle. Could you sell a domain based on it's merit or appraised value or do you only bother with billionaires? The statement above shreds any credibility you earn and makes it difficult to take you serious or even approach you as a broker.
