DomainTools.com password rest for the New Year

I just tried to log into my DomainTools.com account, and it said a Code is being sent to your email address to reset your password for the new year!

This seem pretty odd? The site was down for a good period of time, so I am not sure if they got hacked or something along those lines. Never had a site do an auto password reset like this because "it's a new year". I should be able to choose if I want my password changed or not.

Well, it's up to you if you want to reset your password, but once you try to log in, you will get the message. It would be nice to see something on Jay's blog!

Ditto - Though I dont mind much ... It's not a bad idea to rotate/change passwords occasionally.

Yes, I agree. It's always nice to have official word. It was just odd, since they were down for a period of time today.
