Domaining/Web Development Help Your with School?

Has stating that you are a domainer or listing websites you have created/own on your college application helped anyone or given you an edge?

I had a friend tell me that he thinks a contributing factor into getting into his #1 school was by listing the very active forum he administrates as he said he was asked about that during an interview and the person seemed impressed.

I'm wondering the same thing because that would be great since I only have a 3.5 GPA and I want to go to Business School

For job interviews i refer to my past history in web development, shows your creative and driven to succeed. I find it hard to find a negative point in mentioning it and including it on a Job resume or a college application. I use it on all of mine.

I'm not sure, but I'm applying for college in a few months. I plan on listing programming, web design, and a few of my sites on my application. It'll definitely stand out from the average applicant's extra curriculars and show that you went beyond what your school offered.

Say you are an online entrepreneur and webmaster specialising domain sales. :lala:

If you are in an interview though, it's probably best to explain how it relates to what job/course you are applying for. For example if it is Economics say it helped you understand the concept of supply and demand when you sold a LLL.com since there are only a few around.
