Domaining For Beginners

Are there any good resources on 'how' to start a successful domaining business?

I have been trying to make money off web-development (advertising) for a long time now, and I've found I've had much more success with finding alright domain names, developing them to a basic content site, then leaving them to sit for a few months until pagerank is updated (because, I point links to them from other sites), then reselling them...

While, I'd love to make money purely from advertising, I've been doing this for a long time now and am still not making a good amount of money, I'd like to start buying and selling domain names... I'd love to read some interviews or whatever with successful domainers just for some insight.

Just my opinion but if like me you spend a few hours just reading here, you will find all the information you need :hehe:

Patience and learning is your best approach imo,You will get out of domaining what you put into it,Research all catergories of your interest thouroughly,set your goals to where you have a true shot at reaching them,And i agree with Mellowmasher,Read through this site,There is so much here that will give you guidence.My main suggestion is : Research-Research-Research! the learning curve never stops.

I would say Patience. (something i cant find) Dont expect a name to sell in a day, a week, or even a month. Its takes time and people starting out in this business need to learn this "key" skill in order for them to succeed.
