This last week for me has been a bit of a serendipity week where everything has clicked in place. I believed that I have solved the riddle on how to build a #DecentralisedMarketMaker. AI estimates is that this technique means that building a market maker can be developed for less than 21% percent of traditional market makers. Considering that most organisations allow for budgets over $500,000 to building market makers, this has the potential to transform the finance market place and give small marketplaces a lot stronger voices in the finance industry. I have dreamed about the potential of decentralised market maker principles to stabilise market places for over 19 years. This draws down to launching my marketplace idea on the Namepros forum in 2007 and watching Sedo succeed with a similar idea a few months later. Namepros gave me the confidence in exploring and researching new and innovate ways to build new business models.
I am here to say that I believe that I have never in my life had anything this easy to sell and I want to thank the Namepros community for the education they have given me. I am currently overwhelmed adjusting to the magnitude and potential of #DecentralisedMarketMakers to give smaller organisations a stronger voice in the international community. I can see that doors will open in my career now. In my past, I have had over $30,000AUD in domain name sales but I believe that the education and support I have received from the domain name community at Namepros is worth so much more than that. In terms of the #FinanceIndustryEducation that I have learned from Namepros, I am confident that being a domainer has given me that launchpad to break into the finance industry.
In terms of making decentralised market makers for the domain name community, I have to make clear that I can't afford to go down that path at this point in time. I believe that they have great potential for domainers but I have to follow whatever door in the finance industry opens first for financial reasons. I do believe that the opportunity exists for domaining and so I think the technology will trickle down to the domaining community when the time is right.
The point of this post is for me to make a public thank you to the Namepros community. Your education has been extremely valuable to me. Your friendship has been extremely valuable to me. I have gone through some very lonely times in my life and the friendship of people at Namepros has got me through this. I know that I have been hard to deal with in the way I always aim for extremely ambitious speculative projects and I have appreciated the patience of the Namepros community to support my ambition and caringly warn me of the risks. When the doors open for me in the finance industry I may not have as much time for forums. If I can't spend as much time on Namepros in the future, I will not forget your friendship.
As far as I see it, the Namepros community is always family in my eyes.
